The "Ashley Williams to Arsenal" story continues unabated, but "The Gunners" are still baulking at the £10,000,000.00 price tag. Is there any real mileage to this,or is it yet another example of extremely lazy, space filling, journalism? Williams cannot be immune to the link, and must surely be licking his lips at the prospect of joining one of the most famous Clubs in World Football. Presumably, the Swansea City management have a contingency plan in place should the move actually come to fruition in the upcoming weeks.
Yankee - surely Amat was part of the 3 people cover 2 position requirement. who have we got if Ash goes and Chico or Amat is injured - Huw needs to sort this out with Ash as to his intent to leave or not. We don't have to sell so we need to clear this up or we will be vulnerable and chasing for a replacement
Don't think the gunners are that serious to be honest, this has been a long winded story all summer, that doesn't seem to be going anywhere, paper crap in my view!.....................
We have Monk as interim cover. Not for the nervous I must admit. Maybe we could recall Bartley from Brum. As it stands right now if Ash left tomorrow we would have two good CBs and a back up with time to go into the market with the fee from Ash and pick up a replacement.
TBH even though it would be nice if ash stays i cant seem to get worked up if he leaves because i think we have seen the best ash has to offer and if we can get £10 million for him then i reckon we could buy two defenders that would be just as good for that, so im not concerned what happens...
