He plays his last game for Crystal Palace on monday before he joins us, i watched him play against Brighton in the championship play-off semi final and he was the best player on the pitch, i liked his 2nd goal when he half turned and hit it in the top corner, he's going to be a success with us, and you can quote me on that.
That, i hope they lose, i agree with Ian Holloway about what he said when they last met, they have far too many players in their squad, if they got promoted, they would have to buy a new team in a way, i hope Crystal Palace win, it would be a fairytale ending for Zaha to get them up to the premier league.
Why didn't Holloway say that at the start of the season when they were losing? It was only when they started becoming a threat that Holloway spoke out against them.
As Abraham Lincoln once said: "Tis better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than speak and remove all doubt". Mr Holloway is trying to have his cake and eat it... and he is playing the system by selling and loaning back Zaha. Pot's and kettles come to mind. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/101322-The-Hornets-Nest-II?p=4736349&viewfull=1#post4736349 http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/201897-Watford?p=4458610&viewfull=1#post4458610 Hopefully that is crystal, because an awful lot of rubbish has been spouted by the press (Martin Samuels in particular) managers (yes, you Holloway!) and people jumping on the bandwagon on the back of ill-informed and inaccurate platitude's spouted by idiots that should know better. Best of luck to Zaha... from Tuesday onwards COYH And another thing, on a purely on-pitch football note... http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/213228-Goal-of-the-Season?p=4788535&viewfull=1#post4788535 Discuss!
I still don't think Zaha is ready for the premier league, and I don't think he's an improvement on what Man Utd already have or a match for any of the quality in the squad (he's better than Anderson, but who isn't?). However, he does have potential and there's probably not a better place on earth to hone individual talents, so we'll see. As an England fan, I hope he improves significantly.
His work rate was excellent today but I think he still needs to work on his final pass in the final 3rd, he tried to go alone to much
If he works his arse off and it doesn't work out than fair enough, I'm sure he will learn a thing or two when he arrives here.
Any of you guys think there is a chance he will stay on loan with Palace now they are going to be in the Premier League? Let him get Premier League experience with plenty of game times whilst playing for a familiar team? Makes sense to me.
Would be a good idea, I suspect they will want to see how he competes with the rest of the team in pre season before making a decision on that.
Too much information really but what's your opinion on Zaha? He's got an exotic surname so he must be good.
