    Currently Wigan 0-1 Massive club

Weir looks to be doing ok. Wigan have a player called Morsy, looks decent. He's wearing an unusual padded headband?

More importantly, Wigan have a player called Max Power.

Must have been a full house for the game with 50,000 Weddies wanting tickets.

Still queueing John. Mass hysteria and disappointment in South Yorks.

There must have been more empty seats than occupied seats at Wigan.

Bit like our end at Wembley.

    Coincidence? I think not.

They will have taken far more to Wigan, about 3 times as many, for a Second Division game on a Friday night which was on television than we did to Manchester United for a Premier League team on a Saturday afternoon,
My dislike of Wednesday almost matches that of TWS but these digs at their support are pathetic when ours is so poor.

Well we know why ours is so poor at the moment, but maybe, just maybe Ehab is trying to build bridges, but like the one in Tadcaster it is going to take time.

Wednesday, apart from a very few occasions, have always had better away support than us. Current goings on are nothing to do with it.

More than that. The away end at Wigan holds 5,500, but they don't sell a block of 700 at the side of the stand which means 4,800. The remaining seats were well over half full, probably 3,000 or so.

Newcastle are expected to sell all their tickets for their visit. How many did we take last few times we went there?

Ironically the bridge in Tadcaster was reopened today after 13 months.

I am not saying we would have more supporters regularly going to away matches, but the numbers are down because of the disaffection with the owners. Sheffield is a much bigger city than Hull, more or less double the population and a bigger catchment area, even though they have 2 football teams.

I think you miss the point, the ridicule stemmed from their supporters inferring that because they had more fans than us they should win.

So, they have twice the population for 2 clubs, about the same for each. However urban area population is 640,000 for 2 clubs whereas Hull's is 573,000 for one club. As for catchment areas, how near is Hull to another PL club? Sheffield is less than 40 Mike's from Manchester.

I realise the reason for it but is is a bit pointless as Wednesday fans won't be reading it.

A Wednesday fanatic goes in my pub. I was looking forward to having a bit of fun at his expense but before I could say anything he took the wind out of my sails by greeting me with "you played us off the park. Having more fans doesn''t win games", then made my day by turning to a Leeds fan and saying just like your lot when you were going on about how many you took to your play off final.i think he anticipated what. I was going to say.

A lot of discontent amongst Owls fans. Their crowds are not what they would have been in the past on a successful run. Their prices for category A games are cheapest £42 pensioners £32, dearest £49 pensioners £39, so they are paying more for a category A game than we are to watch a category A Premier League game. Their youngsters do get concessions but are still paying £10- £15.
