Sounded like a great game, and looking forward to seeing it on MOTD tonight, also would like to see Al Habsi's little mistake, but Jordi Gomez scored a hat-trick, am I seeing things or is this truth
OK BCFC how your doing . no your ear`s do not deceive you about Gomez he scored 3 sweet goals left foot right foot and 1 with his head so i for one would like to put an apology in about the many times i have been slaging Gomez off and just want to say that the hat trick that he scored as given me new found recpect for him so letts put your hands together for Gomez
I've always said he'd come good......... No, I was obviously pleased with the win against Reading but with no disrespect to them, they're the level of side against which Jordi can sometimes pull out a decent performance (I'm reminded of things like the Swansea game in the cup about two years ago, or this seasons performance against Nottingham Forest). Note that he was fairly anonymous against Citeh the following Wednesday (though his performances have definitely improved ths season and for the first fifteen minutes against Citeh he looked like he belonged on the pitch). I think that he has responded to having to fight for a place because of Maloney. Maloney's gone off the boil too so the opportunity s there. I'd rather be proved wrong and for Wigan to have a good quality, influential attacking midfielder - rather than having the guy put in poor performances and me feeling smug. I think he operates best in a narrow band in almost the final quarter of the pitch, where he has less territory to cover. That seems to me to be the weakest part of his game. He's too often away from the action because of his lack of mobility. We just can't expect him to make up ground. In fact, maybe we should just start playing him as a goal hanger. Let him re-invent himself as a poacher.
