Are you so rubbish? You have a great manager, cracking skilfull players and play some sublime wonderful football.

But, at the end of the day you are guff?

    What's the problem?

I would love to see the way you play football rewarded.

    But there is something missing.

Arsenal are 7th in the table and through to the last 16 of the CL. MANY teams would love to be in that position. 7th isn't so bad when you consider that they can easily go higher especially with the way Spurs and Chelsea are wobbling.

A team like Arsenal should be way above 7th place with the players you have. Great players and great entertaining football.

The thing is though you can qualify for the "Champions League", I use the term hesitantly as it's a misnomer, even if you finish fifth in your domestic league.

Good luck though. Would love to see you back up there.

Please get back to the Arsenal that you were from the late 90's to the mid 2000. As much as I hated watching Kanu jump over Wiltord's head or Overmaars King Eric impersonation, I would trade that easily to never again witness Barry/Nasri/Toure lifting up Premiership medals or the Russians followers claim they're a "successfull classy club".

    Arsenal are not rubbish.

Of late the problem is honestly more the opposite. Every year we take a core of players that are declared **** by even our supporters and finish well up the table. Given another year with them and the next 4 that we bring on, we would do better, but those players are so good that the richer clubs want them. So they pay them double salary and we can't hang onto them. We tried with Fabregas, and it was a disaster, it distracted the players and so the club have more or less decided that they can't fight it if a player wants to leave.

The problem then becomes, players joining Arsenal to "Make their name" just seeing the club as a stepping stone to a lucrative contract with a "rich" club. So how do you counter that? Long contracts? But then you get left with deadwood if the players don't make it to the heights expected of them.

The only way to succeed is to buy 4 new players that will hit the ground running, hope you get a few injured players to come back and youngsters come on, in the space of 6 months, and try and build a winning team fast.

Only problem with that is, you will probably have a rough start as all the new players settle in, might have a nasty cup loss, but hopefully once the team gel, you can have a rocking second half of the season, with no contract discussions to distract the team.
