... can´t LCFC play like that every game ? Where would we be in the lge if NP was in charge from the off ? No forget that, where would we be if NP never left LCFC in the 1st place ? I know we´ve had a mixed bag of results since NP took over, but there are improvements & come the summer I´m sure we´ll see alot more.

I don´t get to games but I´ve always got the PC on keeping an eye on res´s & watching the 'streamed' games plus the highlights. Some games have been top class, Forest, Derby, Southampton, Cardiff & now Norwich to name a few. I know some of the mentioned games have been in the FA cup, but it just frustrates me when I look at the lge table & see us so low down.

I hope the Sheep game is live on Thursday...

Its funny ,when we beat teams, all of a sudden its their worse performance for years.. ie: derby, forest, soton, noor wich ,etc.. the players really have no excuse..they have proved they have the ability..

It's the question we've been asking all season and it's the inconsistencies that mean that, instead of fighting for automatic, we're trying to scrape into the play-offs. I believe that, when we play to our maximum ability, we are capable of beating anyone in this league but we haven't performed at that level anywhere near enough this season to be considered worthy promotion candidates. Neither have we scrapped for enough wins when we haven't been quite at 100% and still been able to grind out 3 points (Palace is the only one I can recall). It seems we have to be playing at our best just to win football matches. A good team will win when they're playing well but a great team will win when they're not playing well and that is what we cannot do at the moment.

It seems that when we play the teams above us, they take us on in a football match and we are fine with that because technically, we can compete with most in the division but when teams below us come to play, they make it more difficult by pressing a lot higher, being more physical in the middle and almost taking us on in a war of attrition and out-battling and out-running us which is when we struggle. However, Pearson gets his teams doing those things and come next season, when Nigel can get HIS squad assembled, I back him to get us consistently performing and consistently battling (which you have to do in the Championship) to a high level and I think next year, we can have a real go with a competent manager who knows the league and will buy the right players to just take us up a notch and get us competing for promotion.
