Hey just signed up here, so go easy on me! I just wanted to say i dont know why so many people have been down lately. Even after today where we went to a more than hostile ground and dealt well with the pressure, would even say we looked like the home team and turned in a good performance. We also sit on the top of the table half way through the campaign but still every one is moaning at the players. I know it was gutting to get a draw but it think that is engorgement in it self!

i for one think every player has done amazing this season! i think we need to remember what we expected at the start of the year!

But yea sorry for the moan, just wanna see more positivity around here!

Because there's a lot of bed wetters amongst our supporters who must have a scapegoat every time we drop points. Sod that we're top of the league.

I find it's better to just to take it all with a pinch of salt. I'm very happy with us, the people I go to the games with are very happy with us. If other people want to be negative, let them. Their loss. I prefer to enjoy it all at the moment, ups and downs.

Guly was poor today: meh. We've dropped off a little recently: meh. We're still top, we're still having a fantastic season.

    Well said.

I admit I was a bit sore not winning today, but bloody hell, considering what this clubs been through and where we are now, to whinge about things is churlish in the extreme.

But then, some prefer moaning to supporting.

We are having a blip, always gonna happen, natural I suppose fans will post negative comments. But your right I think we all need to take a reality check and look at the league table. If we were offered a playoff place in August there is no one on here who wouldn't of taken it. Like I said we're having a blip, the good thing about that is NA and NC will have noted our weaknesses. January is approaching and hopefully they will bring in the right players for us to kick on.

I think we are all beginning to nitpick. At the beginning of the season we would accept a play off place, but we now have the scent of the PL and fear it will be snatched from our grasp. We should be grateful that we are moaning about individual players having an off day, we could have been moaning about the whole team!

I moan on here so I don't take it to all the games I go to. But have to agree we have had a amazing season so far despite our current blip. <ok>

Its true we're doing amazingly well and I would have never dreamt it going this well. I do find it strange though that because of this people expect fans to not even be the slightest bit disapointed when we loose or give away a lead in the last five minutes. Yes some people go over the top but most people are just abit frustrated in the short term while being still very happy at the bigger picture. Also why cant fans criticise players, saying things like x y or z is a disgrace or something is over the mark but surely the point of a forum is to talk about the match and if a player is playing poorely the fans should express their opinions of that.
Ultimately the most important thing is to get behind the team during every match however after the match why do people get soo upset at others voicing their opinions?

It wouldn't be so bad, if for every bitch you added a positive comment. i.e. Pompey are always broke, however they are not dead yet, sort of thing.

Aha I see what you mean ... kind of! I agree im just saying that making a comment which isnt 'positive' doesnt mean they're a moaner however losing perspective of our situation may do.

I'd like to say that we Saints fans are loyal to the core and never moan at matches or pick on individual players if they make mistakes, but the reality is that there are many fans that like to express their anger/frustration at certain players if they make the tiniest of errors at the match. I suspect that they are the same people that post ridiculously over the top criticisms on this forum. My message to these sad individuals is to quote Prime Minister Harold MacMillan from the 1950's and say that with a win ratio of nearly 70% and at times, sublime football... "we've never had it so good!".

I completley agree, I get really p'd of when people moan at the game because the negativity spreads to the players and its counter productive however I dont think its the same thing on here unless the players read these forums aha!

I am fairly sure that what appears on here is often circulated elsewhere, which is why it can be counterproductive to pick on individuals, particularly those that cannot or will not defend themselves, vent your spleen by all means if it helps you to get it off your chest, but don't expect everyone to agree with you, and for pities sake leave out the uneducated expletives, they also do nothing to back up your argument.

people want the best for the club. everyone wants to win every game (and if you don't then your stupid or lying.) and when they feel they could win a game they want the players to perform. and some of them haven't.
