    boss Mick McCarthy was grateful to former club Sunderland for their reception on Saturday.

    McCarthy left the Stadium of Light with the three points.

    "I've just seen Niall," the manager said. "I think the quote was 'If any one ugly b****** was going to beat us, I'm glad it was you'.

    "I think there was a good feeling towards us, because of me. Most people would say the same as Niall because of the job I did.

    "I had the best time here. I loved it. I won loads of games, got to the play-offs, won the Championship, got to the Premier League without a pot to p*** in or a window to throw it out of, and then I was given even less again.

    "I love the club, and I went with my head held up."

    I may be accused of being disloyal but I was pleased to see Big Mick's team win on Saturday and hope that the three points gained keeps them in the EPL. Hopefully, we'll thrash them next season.......I can dream can't I

    Thats the sad thing West Brom and Wolves took 6 points off us and we were expecting Europe lol
