People think he is one of Europe's biggest talents and Newcastle fans think he is one of our brightest prospects, he was being scouted by some of the biggest clubs in the world of football, if reports are right he also under went a trial at Italian giants AC Milan.
He scored his first senior goal in a pre-season friendly at Carlisle United, and since then he has gone on to make 3 first team appearances in the League Cup, putting in good performances and being involved in a stunning victory over a strong Chelsea side at Stamford Bridge. He carried on his good performances in the 4 - 1 defeat to Arsenal at St James Park, despite the crushing defeat he was awarded Newcastle's Man Of The Match for his hard working display.

But how good can Haris Vuckic be, can he become one of the best players in the world ?

Hmmm, he turns 19 this summer and has yet to REALLY make a mark, having said that, he is always one mentioned by the club's reserve/u18s coaches and I'm sure he must having a certain something!

As long as he can put these injuries behind him and get a decent run in a team (whether it be reserves, on loan, or in the first team) then I think he can be judged then, and only then!

If he was going to be one of the best players in the world he would have been in the first team by now.

Haven't really seen enough of him to be fair, he did show some decent technique in the games he's played for the first team.

I am dying to see him play a few games in the league, I thought he was excellent against Arsenal in the League Cup.

    Is he still injured?

We have a habit of getting late bloomers in the club. Carroll had potential and it took him a few years before he found it. Ranger has potential but isn't there yet at 20 years of age, and Haris Vuckic is yet to get there - but he is only 18. Ferguson is another one.

Epic players don't always burst into the first team at 16/17/18 years of age. If it's going to take them until they're 19, 20, 21 or even 22, then so be it.

He looks solid enough, my expectations of him are not that he'll become world class but perhaps along the lines of Jenas when he's older.

  9. The only quality i've seen from him was against Carlisle in pre-season. A good finish, however i wasn't impressed vs Arsenal..

If we've signed him on a 5 year contract then he must be worth something.
