Okay, let's imagine Mike Ashley is a lovely person and given you as manager all 35million to spend.
(I realize I have probably lost most at this point)

Would you put in a bid for Javier Hernandez, who isn't a first choice at United, has proven to be a great prem striker but will cost a lot?
Or would you go for Gervinho, Lukaku, Hazard, or any other talented European talent, with the risk they will be rubbish?
Or would you spend it on 4-5 young talents to go for Europe in about 5 years time?
Or would you invest in new staff, facilities, youth academy etc. and try to pick up talent on free's?
Or would you try to pluck talent from lower leagues, or relegated prem teams?

    Who would you buy?

Personally, I would go for Hernandez, and then see what is left/what free's are available.

Hernandez is sensational! Why would Man Utd sell him after 1 season? He will be a star!

Gervinho, Lukaku and Hazard will not join NUFC imo.

I think we have to set our expectations at players like Carlton Cole, Larsson...

Agree re Hernandez, not a chance!

Could get Gervinho I reckon but Lukaku is off to one of the big boys (plus he's been ****e this season) and Hazard is probs out of our price range, also not needed as we have HBA to play where he does.

I'd spend £30m and pocket £5m and pump it into local clubs. <ok>

I can't see Man Utd selling Hernandez but maybe loan him for the season, sign a quality striker, a winger, a centre back, cover for the fullbacks and replacements for anyone leaving. Anything left would be for some kids to bulk up the academy.

I see what you mean about Hernandez, but for 20-25 mill United may be tempted to sell.

agree with the hernandez bit, but you're being a bit pessimistic imo..
in europe newcastle is still well known, we're not at the same level as a team like bolton or stoke. I think players like gervinho, young and hungry for the PL (tiote,HBA), will come to newcastle. I'm not expecting any major stars or prodigies like hazard, but i think we should set our expectations higher than larsson and cole

I don't think it would happen, and I wouldn't spend that much money on hernandez anyway, you could get better players

I realise we are still well known, more than most in the PL. However, we still have to persuade the player, and I can't imagine Pardew, MA or DL persuading anyone of good quality. If Hughton was still here though...

This, add Ba to that list too.
Larsson on a free wouldn't be bad either.

    Snodgrass/Gradel from Leeds maybe.

Taiwo on a free if Jose leaves. (hopefully not)

Honestly guys, I really would hate Hernandez here. Can't stand the little twat. Makes me cringe to look at him. Fits Man U easily. Personal opinion though, obviously.

We wouldn't get Hazard either, much bigger clubs are after him.

Hernandez is first choice at ManUre, there is NO CHANCE of even a loan deal. Have more of a shot at Berba, he is a Toon fan after all :D

IMO we need a RB to cover and keep Simpson on his toes. A Versatile upgrade on Perch(Tomas Rincon springs to mind, can cover midfield and the full back areas). A quality striker or two(Ba, Gamiero and Gervinho come to mind). A DM to cover Tiote if Smith leaves wouldn't go a miss and a quality CB to partner Colo would be fantastic. Samba would be the icing on the cake.

Oh and I'll love y'know a nice looking' lad like Vargas.

We will never, ever, ever get Hernandez. Sorry that is a absurd suggestion.

We should sign Sow, Demba Ba, Samba & Gervinho.

Loan Aanholt? Need a backup RB too.

Buy Aanholt if possible. Brilliant lil' player with very good ability and potential. Tomas Rincon as the back-up? Also a DM, just like James Perch except he's wayyyy better. He's actually played in Europe, something Perch unfortunately will never be able to do.

Hernandez will be 1st choice next season for utd.Zilch chance of getting him.I'm amazed he isn't starting more games for them really as he is a bastard for a tap in.

Mackems will probably have to sell after another shocking end to the season.Cheeky bid for Gyan maybe??? :D

Probably choose between Sow or Ba, might not need them both.
But yeah, agree with you on Samba. And buy Aanholt as Sanchino said.
    Then we're all set chaps.
