    I assign blame to both parties as it was the quest for financial gain that led to the split. Mike wanted his hands on £35 million and Andy wanted £80k per week.

    Really I want to blame the bankers though... recession my arse.

    Carroll and his agent started it by wanting a new contract - this is the ONLY thing both parties agree on. Based on that, I'd have to say Carroll (but his agent as well).

    I blame Carroll. This whole "i didn't want to leave" **** is just that, ****. If you don't want to go, you don't. No-one's gonna punish you for it, especially Ashley who knows it'll de-value you to drop you. His agent told him 80k a week was up for grabs, if Newcastle don't give it to you Liverpool will. And the turncoat forgot all about being a Geordie boy wearing the #9 shirt. Nice one you ****.

    On top of it all I really do believe that in 2 years if Liverpool aren't back at the top challenging Carroll will be off. In fact should Mourinho come back to England this summer I'm certain he'd make Carroll his number 1 target wherever he goes. Either way even with this massive price tag I don't see Carroll at Liverpool for that long.
