Either Preston or Swindon will end up staying in L1, so who would you poach if you had the chance?

I like Nathan Burne and Gladwin if Swindon fail.

I would suggest SC and SL et al have already been busy sussing the players they might like of the 3 relegated cant see much there, of those coming up to replace us? Again nothing special? Burnley are fav's to go back up! and should hold on to who they have got although £40 m ? will enable them to invest in better? QPR seems to be a stigma attached here with some of them so that really leaves sourcing from top prem clubs getting rid of "not quite the standard we need for a EURO SQUAD, but good for a champs side or lower prem club" or to teams attempting to get a place next season in top 10!!

We want young/hungry players on the way up

By the way - we moaned about the 5 pillars, but Cotts went predominantly for youth last Summer and it worked

In the early months it worked primarily because of the two older players - Wade and Wilbs.
Its about balance, between youth AND experience

Exactly so - therefore i would expect one older head to replace Wade

We was some and the pillars later became the five points of concern. The pillars were abandoned at the bequest of Steve Cotterill.

The model of fc is x Bristol Sport. It will be interesting to see the view of this in seasons time. The "we" may want all sorts doing.

    This.

We've not much chance of singing Byrne if we're being honest. Can see him costing quite a bit of money and have a feeling that our biggest signing in the summer will be a striker so the rest of the squad will be cheaper signings/Loans/Freebies. Garner is also OOC next year so I don't think he'll cost as much and we might be able to nick him for 1 million or so should preston stay down.

Both could be a risk, but personally I'd go for Garner. If MK Dons don't want him on load I'd also go for Delle Ali.

Finally, for experience, I'd see if Joey Barton was available on a free. I think his contract is up in the summer, and despite his temperament he's an extremely talented player at Championship level.

I reckon we'd do well to land a few younger players that have done well in League 1, along with some older players that are coming down from the Premier League. Two groups of players with a point to prove should help us onwards and upwards.

Joey Barton would be a major risk to our fabled team spirit.
I suggest Cotts would leave that well alone
