We'll have to agree to disagree. Progress in the cups - can't see Laudrup's influence having found a way past either Everton or Napoli. League - we were on the slide, impossible to tell when that would have ended, but the manner of the defeats (West Ham in particular) were starting to look ominous. Truth is we'll never know for certain.....
But we can infer from past experience .... last season's Carling Cup - Liverpool away and Chelsea home/away. Pretty fair indicators to hazard a guess.
I can see Laudrups team going on to glory in all 3 competitions if he wasnt sacked . I thought that at the time of the sacking , I think that now and will always think it . Pity he wasnt given the chance he deserved to finish the season just when his shedule and injury woes were subsiding . The team was getting geared up and ready to go when Jenkins pulled his personal " Stunt ". I will never forgive him
Poor Bony will never forget scoring the winner at Old trafford taff in the FA CUP , only to watch the line up run on to the pitch for the next FA CUP game against Everton .... what he must have thought !
Oh, how you were disappointed with that Everton line-up...as you keep bringing it up again and again and again and again. Get over it mun!
Hard to get over adamswan , one of my most shameful moments as a swan fan ..... other than the Laudrup sacking .
From the fact you mention glory in all 3 competitions I can only assume you thought we were going to win the Premier League this season..... You believed that we were going to win the Europa League when we couldn't even come out on top of the mighty Kuban Krasnador over two games.
Imo we would have done better in all 3 competitions we were in when Laudrup left if he didnt left......yes !
comedy gold...Why wait till the end to play good, why wait a whole year until we were 2 points of a relegation place.. Brilliant.
