I take it there has been no announcement!

OS said there was to be a special effort made tomorrow and want fans in early (15 minutes before kick off). Could this be the cue to announce our manager for next season?
Feyenoord don't kick off until 1/4 to 6

And now we are clinging on to 39 points, and not even at the head of the mediocre teams.

The word "great" was used by Dai in an attempt to make his point. That's what people do here, they invent things/situations,etc.,to suit their needs.

I did, however, describe him as a "great man" on a different thread, and I still stand by that.

Laudrup has now joined the list of ex Managers who are treated quite atrociously on this Forum.

I refer of course to Martinez,Rodgers,Sousa, and now Laudrup. People have very short memories.

I put it down to sheer envy of their accomplishments.

personally thought Rodgers had no Plan B, sousa was too defensive, laudrop didn't use bony and now monk wont use the Spaniards, all too bizarre for me

People always say that about Rodgers, but that is so untrue.

Cast your mind back to the first leg Championship play off match at Nottingham Forest. Neil Taylor sent off in second minute, and Rodgers immediately took a striker off, rearranged the team set up, and the game ended 0-0,and we won the second leg.

So,if that wasn't a Plan B,what on earth would be?

That showed the footballing world that he has a footballing brain.

Unfortunately, there are too many on here who cannot see through the mist of bitterness they still have for him.

    Not true Dragon.
    There isn't even a Monk/Laudrup thread.
You may not be interested in either of them, but others are.
And there is a match thread up and running so stop behaving like a Jessie.
    Quarelled with Sparky again,eh? <laugh><laugh><laugh>

...... For which Laudrup should take the majority of the responsibility as he was in charge for the majority of the season.

FWIW I'm not convinced by Monk, but we didn't appear to be going anywhere under Laudrup and the points gained from Feb 2013 - Feb 2014 were relegation worthy.

We got one good half season out of Laudrup followed by a lot of dross - not worthy of the deification that seems to prevail....

someone, somewhere in cyperspace made a comment that Monk will not attract big names. If I was a top player from overseas I would jump at the chance to play for Mourinuo or Wenger. Sherwood, Lambert et al would not do it for me.

I disagree - I believe we'd have been OK in the league (as we are now but earlier) and we'd have progressed in the cups.

With all due respect to our club, "top players" won't be coming to us full stop, no matter who the manager is.

Oh come on now Bob you must have seen the way we were losing games we should be winning and you cant fail to see the way the players were reacting to the way laudrup was running the club. A blind man could sense the up evil at the club just by the atmosphere alone and the amount of fans leaving the game early. How can anyone ignore the obvious signs that laudrup was bad for the club. He had to go to save our season and it was the right thing to do, It should have been done much earlier...

Read his post Dai, we will never attract top players (players already regarded as top class). However we can attract the likes of Bony who are destined for greater things and help those players on their way to top clubs.

The team DID win at old Trafford and (somehow) managed to qualify from the euroleague groupstage!

Yep: Lita, Emnes. And Cardiffs star keeper Marshall will be likely to be the NeXT GALACTICO to join Swansea!
