They both have hamstring problems. Whitbreads was just a tightening but Ayala looks a bit worse off.

Barnett and Martin I should think will start against the Swans with ? Ward on the bench. Wonder if we can cancel that loan deal back to Posh!!

Loan has always got to be a minimum of 28 days, not possible to cancel.

whitbread tweeted earlier saying that his injury is not as bad as first thought and will know full extent tomorrow!

Ayala on the other hand was a full blown pull and will be out proberbly between 4-6 weeks.

TBH by the time ayala is back i reckon whitbread and bennett would have made themselves at home together and thats the partnership that will see us through, bar any other injuries of course <ok>

If Whitbread is OK, I'd say him and Martin providing Tierney is back so Naughton can go right back, saying that Bennett was great as a full back yesterday.

Whitbread really is a class act, I know a lot of people were skeptical when we signed him because of his injuries, and to a degree they were right as he is out a lot but when he is fit he is brilliant I think. One of the classiest CBs we have had in many a year.

I have no doubt that if he didnt have his injury problems he would be playing at an even higher level

Excellent player very intelligent footballer, even though it was a nothing game the match against Wigan there was a bit when Moses dribbled the ball past about four of our players for Whitbread to put in a last ditch challenge he anticipated and read where Moses was going and it would of easily been a goal for them.
