1 month loan....they you go. lets hope he does the business. Anyone still think it will be 4-4-2? Not a chance in hell.

    So this proves:
    A) Marty is thick as ****
    B) No intention of starting Fletcher and Graham
    C) Leaving no cover incase of injury
    D) See point A

Hope I'm wrong but see the next 2 games as losses. Then back in amogst the relegation threatened teams. No change in system, a 5m signing on the bench (will come on around 75-80 minutes) and yet another home defeat. like I say, hope I'm wrong but so easy to predict. I bet Arsenal haven't bothered sending anyone to watch us.4-5-1 park the bus, try to hassle and chase in the middle, maybe 3/4 shots at most.......lets hope the cold weather gets at them.

Not happy but after the Arsenal game, where I expect at least a point, Wickham was never going to get in tomorrow. After that there is the FA Cup of which we have no involvement. Following this there are 4 perfectly winnable games prior to meeting Man U. The 28 day loan will be well complete by then.

I don't think Connor would have been preferred to either DG or Fletch for these games. At least at Shef Wed.he will get minutes on the pitch which will benefit the lad.

My only concern is he may enjoy this game time and not want to come back to us.

    Am I missing something here?

A lad in desperate need of game time is going out on loan for a month? Okay that's fine.

Our new £5m striker is ready to be part of a two man attack or come off the bench? Right, that fine too.

We have a good home record against Arsenal and almost a fully fit squad to pick from and with Cattermole maybe on the fringes of a comeback, all is upbeat to me.

Oh and Fletcher is due a goal.

Give yourselves a bloody shake lads. We are a comfortable if somewhat inconsistent mid table side.

Just like another 10 or 12 others in that league.:D

I have to say I totally disagree with all of this.

BTW, Wickham is on immediate recall if required?

I think MON is still happy enough to play Sessegnon as a 'striker' for this season so in effect we have 3 'strikers'. McFadden could be used as a striker too although I doubt we would get a regular 90 mins out of him. I would have preferred one more striker to have been brought in but I believe we have enough to avoid relegation.

It's good for Connor to go out and play and we do have the option for an immediate recall so I see no major issue with this. Don't forget Ji too, he could turn out to be something aswell... Both plays potentialy in the shop window and being developed at the same time.

I think its a win win for both us and player, pretty much what sess said, if we go 442 and there is an injury we go 451 simples, just listened to mart on the radio and he speaks highly of wickham, its all for him and his developement

Wickham should be getting run-outs at Prem level IMHO. That's why this pisses me off. We already know he can cut it at Championship level, so why not give him half an hour a pop in the top flight? We only have him, Fletch and DG as out-and-out strikers, so it's not as if there's no room.

Sess doesn't count as a striker and Mcfadden. Iwas talking to him on Monday in Newcastle. He scores a lot, but with the lasses however he has played in a celebrity side quite a bit and looks quite useful. Is there another Mcfadden?

As much as I support MON I can only see this as an excuse to not go with two strikers just in case we get an injury. Got a funny feeling that we'll not see Connor play for us this season as the loan will be extended until the end of the Championship season. He goes for a month then fine he comes back and gets game time with us, if he doesn't then he'll be away in the Summer and, I for one wouldn't blame the lad.

He's 23 and not better than fletch or graham, maybe he's in the shop window? Certainly doesnt look like a £8.1m wonderkid to me

Thing is mate he hasn't been given the chance to show how good he is, I couldn't say if he is better than either Fletcher or Graham on the strength of one start and a few sub appearances.

Same old O'neill fuc**** it up. he's only doing this so he doesn't have to play 2 up top & it's as simple as that. the fans who thought O'neill would play 2 up top when we signed Graham are IDIOTS. I would eat my own Sh** if O'neill played 2 up top LOL. plus I still see THE M'ON EFFECT & CEST sticking up for paddy man. both of them are brain dead, just like o'neill is. by the way THE M'ON EFFECT Whickam is only 19 not 23 LOL get it right.

Anyway am off to the hasting hill for a pint or 2.

Bloody hell!! What's changed? Was Whickham likely to get a game tomorrow?

Next week, theres no game. Meanwhile, Whickham's getting a few games in the next few weeks, for 1 month, and will be match fit for the run in if we need cover.
