We're in 11th place in the EPL after 5 games and through 2 rounds of the Capital One Cup. Our performances have raised plenty of eyebrows and both the team and individual players are coping better than we could have ever hoped. We have also signed some very good players including two England Internationals and we have real hope of survival.

    So where is the buzz?

    What excactly do you want?

Over the top, almost brown nosing, praise of everyone at the club? Or hysteria?

If you were at Newcastle you'll know there's a massive buzz about the City fans, and we're enjoying it immensly.

Its still early as there are a ton of games left. I think all of us fans are excited but dont expect much buzz about us from others until we earn it and 5 games in isnt earning it yet.

For me personally, Im just trying to enjoy this season as much as possible because last time in the prem I was expecting too much and we all know how it eventually ended.

We're still very much a little fish in a big pond and 11th place in the prem is a false position for us.. We'll have a much clearer idea of how this season will go around xmas/new year.

Bring on Saturday and hopefully another solid performance from the lads.

Too many plastics in our crowd who 'don't mind' the name change.

    No passion no brains.

I don't know what I was expecting really, but after all the excitement of getting promoted I thought this board would be bouncing after such a good start.
Maybe it's all the name change stuff or because we don't have much banter with rival fans now, but it just seems a bit flat.

I'm buzzing, took the piss out of a couple of bar codes this week and just saw a Man Utd season ticket holder I've known for years and for the first time been able to say to him we are on the same points! Best manager we've ever had and the best team in a 100 mile radius and West Ham and Aston Villa at home and everyone's expectation is 4 to 6 points, yep buzzing with the can't wait for Saturday feeling and still think we can ambush the name change at Gloucester Place.

It's tough to get excited when there's loads of plastics and people who aren't currently living in Hull jumped on the bandwagon just as we reach our destination and steal our hard earned success from right under our noses.

I won't enjoy another minute until we hound the ****s out and rid ourselves of them.

After the excitement and drama of the Cardiff City match and looking forward to seeing our young players perform in the premiership came the name change. Assem Allam called City, irrelevant, common and a lousy identity. It felt like a kick in the teeth. How can there be a buzz about the place when nearly every chant we sing has "City" in it.

He should withdraw the proposed name change and let us get on with creating a buzz around the team.

After all Hull Tigers is just one tiger amongst many, Merseyside Tigers, London Tigers, Leicester Tigers, etc. At the minute we are THE TIGERS. What more could any advertiser want? Why give up our unique nickname to put Hull in front of it?

I am buzzing, I have been to the Chelsea and Newcastle games and obviously the home games. I believe this to be the best team that I have seen wearing our colours in the 50+ seasons that I have been going to City and am looking forward to the rest of the season.

Ok, I hope that I have proved that I am not a plastic, but what is it with some of you people? Why do you always have to have a go at the floating supporters, do you really want only 2 or 3 thousand "real" fans there or do you want to see a full stadium. I think you would soon complain if the ground wasn't full on Saturday so you can't have it both ways. Some of the comments on here seem to be an exercise in self aggrandisement.

As long as people turn up and pay their money they are fellow supporters to me.

This was the start of the problem.

You lose credibility when you use Dr. Allams very point that you are so strongly against to make your own. In the same post.

City fans are buzzing in Sydney and we're a few thousand miles away. Plenty of Geordies out here, which has been enjoyable

But they're not though, are they?

I know someone who supports Rovers and a Top 4 London club- he has now got a pass near me.

His lad (late teens not a bairn) is a Manchester U fan. He also now has a pass.

Neither have any pro City feelings - they just fancy some top class football in the flesh.

Both of these - and thousands of twats like them in this city- had their chance to choose .

They ****ed up and made their choice. And now they want to reap the benefits of other people's support and efforts.

    Well **** em.

They are not fit to lace the boots of the real fans at City.

Ok bar them and sit in a 9/10 ths empty stadium. How do we get new fans or convert those who have followed teams from outside of their home city? I personally can't understand people who follow teams from another city but I don't let them spoil my enjoyment of watching City play.

Can you read? Do you understand what "The" means before a word. It means it is recognised as the best, not one amongst many. "The Tigers" gives us a unique marketing opportunity, unlike London Tigers or Merseyside Tigers or Leicester Tigers. More Asians will have heard of Merseyside, London and Leicester than Hull. Assem Allam is giving up our registered nickname "The Tigers" to become a mere "Hull Tigers".
