nooooo one so true! you would post something which you'd deem to be informative or a good topic of conversation and then yes, wum articles would push the decent articles and comments to about page 3 within a couple of hours. I also like the way that the threads seem to have continuity on here. it's nice that you don't get duplicate threads being created about the same bloody topic! (most of the time!) I do remember the name "Dawn" actually. was that part of her username? (I'm guessing it was the female name "Dawn" as opposed to that of an early morning "Dawn"??)
Spursgirl used to be a mod on the Spurs Odyssey site, but I haven't seen her post on there for ages. She was very protective of Benny and Jenas and woebetide any poster who dared to criticise either of those players !!!
Grandspurs rarely posts these days. I fully expect to see him more active on here once the league season starts.
Good to hear, I did try to get the two of them to come over to this side because they were both getting frustrated with Ja. It's good to see that RDBD drop by from time to time too even if he hasn't fully converted. Anyway, it feels like a new community here anyway. Some didn't use the Beeb version or rarely used it, or like me, went through periods of using it and not. Overall there's a much less chaotic feel to this board with minimal wums and no 10 new articles being created through out eachday for the same news.
That's a different one isn't it? I seem to remember him/her posting on here very reasonably and then getting a load of abuse as a result of mistaken identity.
Oh, I thought you were joking! I added (orPlautz) to it after our UEFA Cup exit against Sevilla. Konrad Plautz was in charge of the 2nd leg and consistently fell for their time wasting, diving, play acting and cynical fouls, with Dani Alves being the worst culprit. He also somehow missed this: He was looking straight at it, too. The ref in the 1st leg was at least as bad though, so the Austrian probably didn't deserve to get singled out.
Biggest cheer of the night went to Tainio for giving a Sevilla player something to actually complain about
this is in fact true Mr Spurcat strange coincidence is it not? Been far too busy with my work to be on here much, I did read much of what went on when I could though since the closing of the old 606 just looked back at my old posts - I made three before the end of the season, for the Fulham game, hardly the posting whore though eh? weirdly enough - I miss the old BBC606, but this forum is triffic, just a shame time is not something I have a lot of these days,
