We all jump down the Managers throat.

Is this the actual back 5 we have been screaming for:

    Sorensen

    Wilko Huth Shawcross Higgo

    ??????????????

I have, i even said it on another thread.

So what happens, it looked like they had never played together before!!!

Is this the players fault or the managers?

Yes, i agree we have been utter **** this season, but up until they scored we were so in control, i actually thought we would win by 4-5.

Is there unrest in the camp? ( if going by the oatcake, then yes there is).

At this moment in time, i'm still willing to give Pulis a chance to turn it around, we have allways had bad **** runs every season we have been in the Prem, & he has done fine so far.

Yes the football is not pretty to watch, but it was the same football we played when we were winning football matches.

I never thought i would say this, but Pulis is still the man to do the job.

That combo has only played once though all season (I'll stand corrected if wrong!) and I wouldn't say that we have all been screaming for it! I would think that most on here have been crying about Huth & Shawx not playing and we were all going blue when we signed two further CB's and no wing/full backs! Dropping Begovic was a poor excuse in my decession and that is the first time Huth has played at CB with Shawx since last season. I dont think you can use this as an example and I've always said that you defend from the front through a solid central spine!

We dont do that and our spine is as crooked as a dog's hind leg!

I think thats the main concern. In the past he has always had issues with a player, but he has always managed to keep the core of the team respectful to his wishes - I think that is waining a little now. I started thread a week ago about how many points until Xmas would take to keep TP safe and respected as the best man for the job. I siad 12 ish and I still stand by that, any less and he has to go so a new manager has the transfer window to put right all the wrongs! I was counting on something from the QPR game (a win actually) and I was also counting on a win against B'Burn! There is time to turn this round (although I still stand firm that TP has done what he can and can bring no more), and if TP does then so be it, but he isn't bigger than the team, any player, the supprorters or the club as a whole!

Nothing to do with the back four it's all to do with what else we have been screaming for AN ACTUAL MIDFIELD. Does not matter how good the back four are if there is no one in the middle to hold the ball up or lay on a match winning pass we are totally screwed. Like I said on another thread any team that can pass and play football will beat us hands down. Our game plan is the same every game. Give it Ethers or Pennant run down the wing and cross it in. Nothing ever comes from passes down the middle. Barton controlled the game yesterday because he had the room and space to do it as we had two wide midfielders a defensive one and another that runs around kicking in the air like a ballerina. Pulis buys 2 decent midfielders Wilson and Palacios then does not play them. So sorry mate it's all down to Pulis he is toss!

Waddo i totally agree about the midfield, i have been saying since we first came up that was the MAIN PRIORITY to upgrade, but this (****) midfield has basically been the same midfield that has also dominated games (when let off the leash), to establish us for a 4th year.

So is it the midfield or is it the manager that will not let them off the leash untill we reach 40 points?

Tony FFS let them off the leash & we will reach the MAGICAL 40pt mark a hell of a lot quicker.

Valid point, however, I also think that they are now tactically very easy to neturalise - hence why we need a varied and improved approach.

Yes we ALL were but, the LAST time that back four played in that formation was v West Ham last season when Higgy was injured?
Waddo, correct we CAN defend and defend well. BUT, Huthy, I did NOT want Delap nor Whitehead to be OUR midfield. IF the aforementioned can not pass water our defence will crack eventually and it's happening far too often. I WANT like many on here.. Palacios and A N other Wilson or Whelan to play there. Then, and only then will I be hapy. IF it turns sour and Palacios does not "do it" then fine. But right now it's EIGHT million QUID give or take a few bob sitting on the bench and I don't like it But, we are not seeing enough of the guy to judge him.

Plus, did anyone else notice this yesterday, we started very WELL and scored a decent goal.. WHAT happens then we sit back, let QPR play and hey bloody ho same old tactic and we concede awful goals. We ALWAYS do it and always will under T.P. We had QPR on the rack but let them off the hook and they were good enough to make it count.
