*cough* I would drop Harper. Not knee jerk, I don't think he has done well for a few weeks now. *cough*

That little '!' sign beside the Rep button? That's where you can stick it.

  3. If it wasn't for him, we would have lost about 1-5 to Everton. He's been fantastic, and deserves to stay in the number one spot. He's more than earned it, and waited long enough for it.

I just think Krul's better. Whats to say he wouldn't have made them saves? He could have done better than Harps, especially at coming out for things (Harp's Achilles Heel imo, i appreciate that Krul ain't the greatest at this either).

But, each to their own. I think Krul is at the very least, as good as Harper, and so he should be played because he has more of a future.

Thankfully Harper is still a few years from retiring as most keepers have a longer playing career than an outfield player.

It's difficult to judge at present which keeper based on Krul or Forster will take over the mantle of No.1 and No.2.

Forster did very well at Norwich (League 1 at the time) and with Celtic so we can't overlook the experience he gained there but Krul also had a decent time in St Mirren (before his injury) and also had a good run in the team this season.

I'd like to see Krul at Celtic on loan and Forster to stay as No. 2 next season.

This then gives us enough material to then evaluate who is actually the better keeper but I hope we retain both as having two strong keepers vying for the No. 1 position is healthy once Harper hangs up his gloves.

But it was Harpers fault we went 2-0 down to Stoke. He needs to start performing better, if he doesn't in the next few games then I think drop him, but give him 1 or 2 chances more imo.

I hope Harper sorts out his kicking soon, its my main gripe about him, it seems to either go out of play or bounce perfectly for the opposition. Maybe pass it up the pitch instead?

  7. Harper should start because he earned it. He communicates much better with the back four. I know Krul is in-experience and Harper has the advantage, but even so, Harper hasn't done enough for him to get dropped for me.
It wasn't just him that was **** against Stoke.

Harper should stay in the side until we've secured safety, after that give Krul a shot. Fair enough?

Your constant suffering from verbal diarrhea keeps me thouroughly entertained. So by all means - you crack on, son.

  9. Krul's kicking was hardly spectacular, he kicked quite a lot more howlers than Harper has. It was Harpers fault we went 2-0 down, but lets not judge him on one bad performance man.

Harper can pick out players far better than Krul, and his goal kicks have more vision about them. As i've said, let Harper continue to play, as he's been mostly excellent, once we're mathetmatically safe, let Krul have the games.

    Problems i have withthis is:

Earned it? He should only be playing if he is the better player. You cant pick a team and justify it by saying 'Ahh but he's done his time.'.

I don't think Krul did enough to get dropped at the start of the season. We were playing well, got off to a great start. And then he comes back and waltz' into the starting 11. If i was Krul i would have been seriously pissed off.

I want to play our strongest line up possible every game. Only thing i would change, when secured, is that i would have more fringe players coming off the bench. And maybe resting the more... ... Experienced players so they don't burn out.

  13. Yes but in my opinion. Harper's recent performances, apart from Stoke ofcourse, have been better than Krul's.

Neither Harper or Krul have been consistant, but in my opinion, Harper has been better than Krul. Harper has done nothing but earn his place in the squad, by showing he's better than any of our other options, and putting in alot of quality performances.

  15. Well Krul isn't as good as Harper, and we need the most experienced and quality players to keep playing, until we're mathetmatically safe. After we're ensured safety, Krul can start.

It's called opinion Tash. Just because you beleive you are right, doesn't make it so.

    I can write:

    Doesn't make it true.

  17. Do you not agree it would be fair if Harper stayed in the team until we're safe, and then let Krul start for the rest of the remaining games?

Ranger, Krul, Ferguson and Ireland should start every game once we're safe. Barton and Nolan should be sent on holiday. :D

I've already said that i do not. I want to finish as high as possible, and therefore would want to play our strongest team (giving a little leeway for fatigue once safe). And in my opinion this would mean playing Krul. Oh, it would include Ranger also.

Indeed. I am happy for Harps to play, as i said, i think they are very close ability wise, but i would prefer Krul.

But lets kick onto Wolves and 3 points!!!! <ok>
