Amazing how things can change in the space of little more than a week.

Last Saturday we travelled to Inverness knowing that a defeat and a certain win for Rangers over St Mirren would see us fall 15 points behind.

Eight days later we sit four points behind and look to be back in form. Rangers meanwhile look to be struggling to create many chances without Naismith and are starting to pick up a couple of injuries.

Long way to go but it's good to know that the title race isn't over by the end of November as some were predicting.

Next up Atletico Madrid. Should be a cracker.

things are certainly looking up. players coming back from injury and a few wins on the bounce under our belt. still a long way to go, but if we pulled it off would it be the greatest comeback ever?

3 old firm games to go too - 2 of which will be at Celtic Park

If we can get all our players fit and showing desire again then we can be in with a shout

Rangers were always going to have a blip. My fear was that we may not take advantage

Have to say I was fuming a month ago. I genuinely thought we'd thrown it away before the middle of November.

As Anport says, it was inevitable that at some stage Rangers would drop the odd point - problem was it looked like we'd drop more. <laugh>

Anyway, no time for self-congratulations, we're still behind and the coming month is going to be tough. 5 league games plus 2 EL games. Quite possible that we could claw back the deficit completely but equally possible that we could be back to a wider gap if we lower the standards.

I don't watch Rangers often but I tuned in yesterday as I had a feeling they might drop a couple of points. Have to say they looked ****ing awful. I know Nev's been saying they look like a one man team and that one man is out injured for the rest of the season but I just thought that was Nev being typically pessimistic.

Having watched that performance yesterday coupled with the report from their game against St Mirren it seems he may be right (fingers crossed.)

Apart from Aluko they looked bereft of ideas. Keep him shackled and it's difficult to see who has the ability to open up a defence. Davis maybe?

Like Admiral, I thought the 12 point gap would be too much as I couldn't see us going on a run of victories, especially the way we were playing but we've really hit a bit of form now. We just need to maintain it.

I'm waiting until we're actually top before I start crowing about this. Especially with a wounded Atletico Madrid coming to Parkhead on Thursday.

    Not being negative, just pragmatic.

Some of the stuff we played at the weekend was sublime and the passing around the edge of the box is the best I've seen from Celtic since the days of the Three Amigos.

    Totally agree.

In a weeks time we could easily be sitting here after a euro-pumping and the lead back to 6 or 7 (Dundee Utd away - never easy). Still, we're in a better place than a month ago - plus it was a genuine pleasure to see the performance on Saturday.

Plus Crocodile Dundee is a Hun to the core. He'll have his team out there to kick us off the park after our Europa game.

Get Big V and Kayal in the middle of the park and play them at their own game. Be good to see us get stuck into those dirty ****s for a change.

On a more optimistic note, if Celtic could go top of the Europa group on Wednesday.

I don't think most people could've predicted that.

I have no doubt that we will win the league. We will become much better when our injured players come back. To all Huns out there: Yes, I DO enjoy the chase, to overtake!

I am just delighted that Rangers have dropped 5 points in two games. Their team is not good enough to set records for wins.
I had started to think it was like the run in last season when everyone did their part to send Walter away on a high. Dropping points is like scoring goals, or keeping clean sheets. When any of these start to happen they can become a habit and difficult to stop.
Hooper, even though his goal was a tap in from a couple of feet, that give him the confidence to go and score his best goal of the season.
Celtic gave still nearly half a team missing and I think Neil Lennon will have some job picking his best team when they all come back.
Rangers look down, and this is Sally's big test, can he get them going again? Has he any gems to spring from the bench ?
Could be an exciting league but no one can mouth 4 in a row with any confidence.

Another couple of bad results and they will turn on Mccoist, hopefully Dec 28 is one of them , as you say super, who have Rangers really got to bring into their team , their better players look disinterested or lost with super ally tactics or should that be lack of tactics!!!!

    Let's not get carried away.

We've got a hard game against Madrid on Wednesday and we've struggled a few times after tough Euro games. A trip to Tannadice is never easy at the best of times especially with that bald prick and his "kick their best players" being his only tactic.

Then we've got Hearts at home and a tough away trip to St Johnstone with a game away to Udinese sandwiched in the middle.

Aye but we have the bit between our teeth and hopefully more players coming back. I think we will be fine.
