For the England team? I'm quite sad in the sense I love picking players, choosing formations and saying where Crapello's gone wrong. After reading the article 'Does anyone care about our National team?' (and still caring because I'm only 19 and haven't realised quite how sh*t the national team is yet) I started to decide who I would pick in my 23-man squad. who should be picked AND who shouldn't, why I wouldn't pick players etc. So after doing that, I decided on a team and squad who are quality, may be younger and/ or inexperienced at international level BUT would give more at least in heart. ---------------Hart------------ --Walker--Shawx--Jones--Cole ------Parker----Gerrard------ Walcott--------------Wilshere -----Crouch-----Welbeck---- So, pick at this all you like: Goalkeepers: Hart, Loach, Green Defense: SHAWCROSS!!!!, Smalling, Walker, Jones, Cole, Johnson, Woodgate Midfield: Young, Walcott (seriously under-rated, scores a hat-trick and isn't taken to the world cup?) Parker, Henderson, Ringtone, Wilshere, Gerrard, Delph Strikers: Crouch (scoring record better than 1 in 2 games for England, most of the time as a substitute), Defoe, Carroll, Sturridge, Welbeck This is obviously with injuries aside. No Rooney as he just cannot turn his club form into international, he never has and it doesn't look like he ever will. Lampard, Terry and Ferdinand out as they have been given their chance and haven't taken it, but Gerrard as when fit he is one of the best players in the world without question, and always seems to try on the pitch for England. Shawcross and Ringtone in. These two players, especially Shawx, are underrated and ignored merely because they are at Stoke. Ringtone has and does run rings around the best full-backs in the premier league, why is he not given that chance at international level? Woodgate in because many times it has been said he is still one of the best CB's in the premier League, if he can keep fit. Delph because I think he's going to be a quality player and will gain alot of experience and will learn from being around players like Gerrard and Ringtone. Your own squads?
