If you were a football manager and a player (Tevez) refuses to leave the bench to go on the pitch to play for your team, would you sack him, make him train with the kids or something else? Tevez refused to come on for Man City tonight v Bayern Munich.
Pretty much any other club and Tevez could get away with it. Man City have so much money that they can afford to hold on to a player of his value. That's why he hasn't been involved much, anyway. Tevez is an idiot for not realisng this, in the summer and before tonight.
You say that Calypso, but as I've just said, their money allows them to be able to stand up to player power.
I think the crap he'll take off the crowd in the next week or so will be punishment enough. I take it Manager made it clear Tevez refused to come on
Even with all the money the Man City owners have, they're business people and if they see a chance of getting this idiot out of their club for a few bob, they will take it. I reckon he's going on loan by Friday (Inter) with a permanent deal agreed come January 2012.
Of course if the right deal is offered they'll take it, but they're not forced to either play him or sell him quickly at a knock down price.
If that happens how many other would be primadonnas would try the same thing? Personally I'd make him train apart from the rest of the squad and make him clean the reserves boots. Any infraction of these conditions, bang him with the maximum fine possible. Talk about the tail trying to wag the dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A generous dose of humility or humiliation to take him down a peg
I would honestly not pay him at least a week's wages but more likely a month's and he would never play again. Players like that are not worth it, regardless of who they were and what club they played for. If we had Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi in the leeds team and they did that, i would never want to see them in the shirt again. Complete Disgrace, dunno what club would want him after that showing
This is the big one Ken has been hoarding the cash for. We will swoop for tevez in January window. Its true.
Wouldn't sack him. You'd get nothing for him and he'd get what he wants, a move away. I'd love to let him rot in the reserves. But in reality, all City can do is fine him the maximum they can and try and get rid for as much as possible as soon as possible. Even they aren't rich enough to throw away a potential £50million. Tevez is taking a risk as he's not making himself attractive to prospective employers. Having said that you just know there will be a big club who'll put greed and a potential bargain ahead of principle and take him on saying "He's made mistakes in the past but here at (insert name of regularly under-acheiving Italian/Spanish Champions league club of your choice) we feel we can provide the opportunity for Carlos to put all that behind him and show that he is a winner". More fool them.
SIMPLE 1. Sack him 2. Keep his registration to stop his agent netting another pay day 3. Sue him and his agent for breech of contract
Man City have just announced he has been suspended for two weeks. I like this: Irish League club Limavady United have offered Manchester City superstar Carlos Tevez an escape route from his troubles with the Premier League club. The County Londonderry team's vice-chairman David Brewster faxed City on Wednesday afternoon offering to take the multi-million pound striker on loan for the rest of the season
I always had the feeling he carried a lot of baggage with him or blue nose would have kept him at the old toilet
