Hello lovely boys (and girls), this is my first post I first went down to the Vetch in the late 60's - Bradford Park Avenue rings a bell - and have been reading this post for years (I'm a big fan of Dai, who is right on all the big issues, FACT) Anyway, at the beginning of the season my big bruver Truver got odds of 150 to 1 on Swans being top 4 and put money on for a laugh (he's only just told his wife) - but now we're only three points of third it doesn't seem so daft. So yesterday i got odds of 100 to 1 with Ladbrokes and because they effectively double up your first bet that makes it really 200 to 1. You'll have to hurry though cos the odds will go down once we've seen off Norwich and my baby brother Daff has put his life savings on. So if we finish top 4 I'll buy you all a pint at the Queens after the match.
Jactthe jack...welcome pal. are you one of the many silent jacks who pm me on a regular basis to agree with most of what i post. ? ....A top 4 is a possibility abet only temporary but for the sake of a fiver then its worth the chance of a bet with odd of 100/1....If we continue to compete with the top clubs then them odds would be drastically cut and you would be sorry you never risked a small bet....
Like i have always said its private and if they want me to name them i would....there are many if you look at a conservative total who read the posts but don't write....you can only gauge early in the thread because of us regulars who post multiple times...
I don't see why people would do that without contributing themselves though. I know some people are shy and reserved, but we're all pretty much hiding behind user names anyway. If they back you up Dai, I think they should do it publicly
i would agree but there is far more readers than posters ...at least 10 to 1 ...me i love to post but when i go on other forums i don't and just read them....
I've been reading this forum for over two years, only signed up this year. Some people like me only post when they feel in the mood or feel they have something to say. Wouldn't do private messages though. Maybe some of these others are scared to admit Dai is right about some things as they might get pounced on.
Dai is right on some things and wrong on others just like I am. That's my take on it anyway and there's nothing wrong with disagreeing and having a debate about things. What I can't understand is anyone arguing just for the sake of it and fans of other clubs pretending to be Swans fans and then posting negative crap about us. So basically there's no need for anyone to worry about what they post because everyone's entitled to their opinion.
But if they are 'guests' and don't have a username would they be able to send pm's to someone else using the sites pm system? In other words you can't send a pm if you aren't signed up and log in. Perhaps Dai is just fantasizing.

Well I'm going to shove a tenner on us finishing top 4 tomorrow as I have more chance of winning this bet than the lottery.

Its all swings and roundabouts - some things we agree on and some things we don't. What we all agree on is for the Swans to play good football and a) survive and b) finish as high as possible
