Ok so it looks very much like Bruce is getting closer to the door and their are 40+ thousand of us ready to push him, but what next.

I want him out, lets just think a second.

Whoever comes in will be working with the same players. It would be good that they came in now because by Jan they can see who they want to keep and who they want to sell.

Will we go for safety and sign some proven players to keep us up or should whoever comes in look beyond that and try and sign quality. The same quality as Bent, Welbeck and Gyan??

I fear for us to be honest, I fear we will not be able to attract the top names. Its all a bit doom and gloom.

My hope is we can bring someone in that will get the players we have got going and we could resurect our season. The league is gone now as far as a top 10 finish goes, we just need to finish as high as possible. What about a cup run?? a new manager, some new players and the FA cup still to play for??? you just never know......

BTW I am not deluded I am just trying to look on the bright side (if there is one)

I think there´s a few good players in there, defensively we are ok, although any new manager would surely solve the left back problem, a dominant centre back would be welcome, but is less desperate.

A midfield with Seb on the right and Meyler ahead of Cattermole, who has been a shower, Sess out left, meaning we need an attack/creative minded CM, and a partner for Bendtner, Campbell is due back, but he will struggle to get sharp this season.

It´s not a massive job to be honest, 3 players, maybe 4 if we wanted an extra striker.

Could a new manager consider bringing back Gyan and Riveros, 2 of the most naturally talented players at the club out on loan?

Tactically has been the biggest failing, in particular a seeming fear of attacking teams.

I call Hughes, Poyet and the underrated Martinez as people i´d lack, barring a miracle capture of the best man for the job, David Moyes.
