All this talk of giving Jewell the sack is ridiculous. He did a superb job for us last season and although this season apart from the opening day things have gone terribly, he's still building his squad(look at all the players we are critisizing, none of them are Jewells), he has bought some very good players in suprisingly under the circumstances.

Stability is great but I think only if you appoint the right manager for the job in the first place. Too many clubs appoint the wrong manager and then at every club the same argument goes on stability or sack the manager. But what is the point of keeping the manager if its blatantly obvious he is just terrible or wrong for the club. I believe we have appointed the wrong manager and therefore he should be given at least until the end of his contract unless this situation snowballs and we are relegated.

If we would have given Keane anymore time (as many thought he should be given) where would we be now. For me this was a case of the club appointing the completely wrong manager and it was pretty obvious from the early stages, he was sacked to late and the damage was already done.

So my answer to this debate is yes certain managers should be given more time, the sacking of Southgate and Hughton as an example but certain managers its blatantly obvious they shouldn't have been appointed in the first place and should be get rid of asap like Keane was here.
