At the last minute Jordan Henderson decides to change his mind and stays with the club. Would we 1. Get a load of posts saying thank god, were saved from a disaster and roll on next season. 2. Get a load of posts from Jordan knockers who couldnt wait to run him down during the second half of last season saying Oh No we would have been happier with the 20 million. 3. Get a load of posts berating Jordan for changing his mind as they were all looking forward to seeing Steve Bruce improving the squad with three or four decent signings with the Jordan money. Seems so far today weve had a fair share of all three scenarios, so I suppose the old saying of You cant please all the people all the time seems to apply here. My take on this is I would have preferred him to stay but 20 million is a good price and our squad could do with the influx of players that fee will enable us to bring in to improve a very thin squad numbers wise. Thoughts anyone
I am happy, 20 mil is a very useful sum of money, but Jordan's a great player and I'd be ecstatic to keep him.
i think the deal is ok and wish the lad all the best we need strong players to consolidate ourselves in the top 10 Jordon needs time to develop Has the Ngog deal happening as their are no reports of him having a medical
Jersey there's fickle and then there's that...! haha! You wear your SAFC heart on your sleeve! I would have liked to keep him, but he was always going to move one day and we got good money for him. I suppose I'm somewhere between 1 and 3 maybe?! Depends who we get in to strengthen... We're in for a long summer!
Hmmm, I think I was just very angry, I was just generally pissed off with everything and had to take it out on Henderson with my keyboard!
Well, being possibly the only poster on 606 and not606 who never once doubted Henderson, i'd be more than happy to see him stay. On numerous occasions i've tried in vain to explain to you guys why Henderson is a good player. 20 million for the lad is not the end of the world, however, unless you then use the money to bring in the likes of N'gog! Yikes!
