There once was a thread about Halloween,
Which started out quite filthy but later became quite funny & clean,
Good banter ensured in the early hours there’d been,
Billy, just ask a Mod if you know what I mean

    Hasn't always been halloween nightmares...

:1999 Two first half goals from Niall Quinn gave Sunderland a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur, keeping them in third place in the Premier League table.

1973: Vic Halom scored his only hat trick for Sunderland in a League cup win over Derby County at Roker Park. It was a second round replay.

1908: England internationals Arthur Brown, George Holley and Arthur Bridgett scored two goals each as Sunderland beat Manchester United 6-1 at Roker Park

I think a small regional clubs fans wanted to make mischief regarding a victory they had 12 months ago against their better local rivals.

As we still hold the top NE club title, it must be a good feather in their cap to have beaten us I guess.

Did Citys 6-1 win make them a better or bigger or more successful club than Utd?

Of course it didnt. If such freak home results can happen to the worlds biggest club, then I can live with a lesser result AWAY from home v your lot and still rest easy that we are still by far and away the most successful club in terms of League Titles between us both AND have finished above you for 3 consecutive seasons as well.

    Trot on dreamers.
SAFC still the top NE club.

Kiwi, I know what you mean.

I had a nice chilled out night last night & came on here to share some music experiences & found all hell had broke loose.

Sure I kicked a bit at first defending young Lauren but in the end got everything calmed down using all my diplomacy skills & some ****ing arsehole mod had to go & pull it.

Comm has said it wasn't him so that narrows it down to three.

Like you say, in the end everything was calm & people chatting amicamly.

Don't know what gives them the right to pull them unless some freak has requested it?

Haway mods, hold your hands up & admit it & give a valid reason.

Sorry about this but a mod on the mag board has made an allegation that it was Syd that pulled the thread.

If true I find it pathetic.

    Not saying it is mind.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't it now a quarter of the way through the season, we made it 2 rounds further than you in the cup, we remain in 4th place while you lot have hit a good patch and are still 14th. Not doing so well for the north east's top dogs....

oh and lets not forget youve been abysmal in the last 3 derbies, and havent won in the last 4. dont pretend that that doesnt matter <doh>

While you are entitled to be proud of the 1 - 9 victory, not one person on here, without the help of Google, would be able to tell me who scored the goals in the order they went in, their starting lineup, what the weather was like that day, what the commentators (if there were any!) said when the goals went in, what the goals were like and most importantly they won't know how it felt, because it was most likely several decades before they were born. Unless you're Billy, who was in his 200s.
