As a Southerner, I could not get access to the Bates documentary, and reading through the comments this morning on not606, there aren't many comments about it?

What I would like to know is :-

    i) Did anything to to light in the documentary that we didn't already know?

ii) I imagine it was insinuated, but not proved that Bates was behind the off shore company in the Bahamas?

iii) Do we think anything will come as a result of last nights documentary?

I didn´t see it, but from some of the comments of JA606, it seems that it was mostly stuff we already knew. However, even if that´s so, it´ll still have a good impact. It might make some of the fans sitting on the fence realise how crooked and dodgy it all was.

Good point, those who didn't care before should be a bit more opinionated now. Whats JA606 like compared to NOT606???

I live down south as well Ellandback, and watched on sky channel 976-which is BBC1 Yorkshire. I found it interesting, but only because it was RE Leeds, and not because anything new came to light. I thought it was as neutral as it could've been, bearing in mind that Bates has stuck it to the BBC (or bloated biased corporation as he put it last night), they only really attacked Bates in the 2nd half, alot of it RE the outcome of administration (affect on local business/charities etc), and the way he bought the company after claiming he had nothing to do with FFS/that Swiss company (i forget the name-it was Chateau something). Alot of it was how dodgy off shore "tax havens" are, and we knew that anyway.

So nothing really new, and I dont think anything will happen-there was an MP saying how he thought the situation was unacceptable, but didn't mention if action was even being considered-i think the MPs will pass the buck to the football authorities on this one, and they in turn will pass it back!

I argue more on JA606 <laugh> its different to here. We are much more laidback. The main players on there snipe at each other but you can have fun with it. Mention one topic and watch them all go mental or whatever. Its highly amusing :D

I've had a few scraps with people on there before.

To be honest nothing came out what we didn’t already know.

Hopefully a few neutrals will have had there heads turned now. Although nothing can be proved, seeing the tedious links between offshore company’s in tax havens shows there’s something to hide.

A football club should be much more transparent as its us the fans that keep it ticking over.

    Fiesty <laugh>

I suppose that’s a word that could be used <laugh>

Nutter is another. Don’t **** me off is a tip for people <laugh>

I’ve sorted my anger out mainly now but I used to be a little git.

I’m the calmest though in the women in my family. My mam, sis and gran are worse than I am for blowing their nut.
