After tavelling up to Norwich Friday night,i arrived at my wife's stepfather's at about 9p.m.After a few drinks and a bite to eat we retired for the night,so we could be up early and have a few in the pub before the game.Everything was fine the next day except the result(for me) but we still had a great time.Sitting in the pub after the game,Trevor the afore mentioned stepdad complained of chest pains to me,i suggested we should get some air and started to walk outside. As we approached the door he grabbed at his chest and collapsed to the floor.Beside myself with worry i shouted for someone to call an ambulance, which duly arrived after about 10 minutes. They took us to Norfolk and Norwick University Hospital and rushed him into the Cardiology Unit.I was in a sense of panic as i tried to inform his wife and my wife what had happened.By the time his wife had arrived it was too late,he had died from a massive heart attack! As i write this we are all still in deep shock, having caught small snippets of the news today,i am further in shock with the news regarding Gary Speed.A truly horrendous Weekend,as you may gather i won't be on here much for a while as i have alot of arrangements to make.Stay safe chaps and i will hope to speak to you all soon.

Jesus Christ Hammy, I’m so sorry for you, your wife and all those concerned. A few words from a stranger can’t offer much solace, but at least you were with your stepfather-in-law when it happened, no one could have done more to help him. All I can offer is my deepest condolences. <rose>

Jesus Hoopton, my deepest sympathy to you and your family. What a horrible time it must be for you all. I hope you get through it all ok. It seems so often on here that we are hearing about someone's loss, makes you realise how precious life is and reminds me about priorities, and the important things in life. So sorry mate, RIP Trevor.

I'm so sorry Hoopton, that must of been so distressing for all concerned.
I can't imagine how awful that 10 minutes must of felt like for you.
In this situation I'm not sure if words alone can offer any comfort.
All your not606 mates will be here for you though,
If any of us can give any solace at your time of need, i'm sure any of us would respond.
All the best, our kindred spirit.
    We're all here for you.

As you know I do not come here anymore but on rare occasions I feel I have to say something and put all club rivalry to one side.

HH - So sorry to read about your loss, I appreciate words are not enough but please try and take a little comfort that someone outside 'your board' offers you and your family sincerest condolences too.

    Puts life into perspective
Sorry to hear about this and best wishes to everyone
Live lads like its your last day ... My late Father did so yet worry crept in at times ... I found him upside down in the bath with his trousers round his head ... He had no idea it was coming as his paint brushes were still wet on his latest masterpiece .
    My point ?
Is there a best way to go?
    It coming to us all
I wish everyone a good day and wish strength upon those facing all hardships ... There seems no other answer than to carry on
