Sorry Ciarrai_Abu, you will have to forgive me for going off topic again, but a West Ham support I know has just sent me this. There are growing concerns that this weekends fixture at Upton Park, when West Ham host Sunderland in the final game of the season, will be the scene of unprecedented protests from the home supporters. Following their relegation from the Premier League last weekend it has become clear that the West Ham supporters will use Sundays game to vent their anger with the players and the board. With a capacity crowd expected the club are in talks with the police and officials from the Premier League to decide on how best to deal with the potential protests from the fans. It is expected that the supporters will tut en mass during the game and these tutââ¬â¢s will be directed at the players and board members they feel are responsible for their demise this season. Inspector Ian Morris of the Metropolitan police said, ââ¬Åwe are taking the threat of mass tutting by the West Ham fans very seriously. All leave this weekend has been cancelled and there will be extra officers on duty, I am confident that should the tutting go ahead we will be able to copeââ¬Â. He continued, ââ¬Åthis type of protest is unprecedented and will clearly be challenging for my officers. West Ham fans have a history of violent protests but this takes it to a whole new level. It is disappointing that the fans feel so aggrieved they have found it necessary to use this totally unacceptable means of protesting and I make it very clear to them that if charged and convicted they will be dealt with very strongly by the courtsââ¬Â. A spokesman for the club told us ââ¬Åwe were made aware of the possibility of tutting by the supporters earlier in the week. Although it is difficult to believe that in todays modern game one could even suggest an action of this type we did not take it as an idle threat and immediately contacted the police and Premier League. A decision will be taken prior to the game on whether the players and board will avoid the match in order to reduce the possibility of tutting ââ¬Â. If this is the case we are led to believe the youth team may face Sunderland on Sunday. An organiser of the protest, who asked for his identity to be protected said, ââ¬Åthis was not a decision we made lightly and we are fully aware of the ramifications this action will have. Many options were considered including having a riot with the players or singing the Birdie song but it was felt no other course of action would have the same impact. We know that the effect of taking this action will put the fans reputation at an all time low but that is something we will have to live with. We would like to thank everyone for their support and remind all those involved there will be nibbles and Babycham spritzers at some point during the proceedings.
I'm forever throwing bar stools, heavy bar stools through the air. They fly so far, hit a bloke called Ba & next year we play Doncaster.
