IF we were to get promoted, which team out of these 2 would you most liked to join us? Personally i'd prefer Reading to go up, however I find a lot of their fans to be 'happy clappy plastic fans' who support the likes of liverpool and man u when reading aren't doing well. What about you?

If you had asked me earlier in the season I'd have plumped for West Ham as I've always like their style and their fans. Fat Sam however has got right up my nose as has the obnoxious Brady and Gold. So now I find myself favouring Reading.

Don't really have a preference. Seriously, either, neither, it means the same to me. I suppose having Reading there would mean there wasn't yet another London club in the PL, but it's a pretty poor reason for choosing. They are a well run club, who haven't had loads of success in their history, so yeah, Reading it is. Sorry Trixter and Cockney Eyetie. It was nip and tuck.

Defo West Ham as said by OP their fans are all plastic I live in Reading and the people are a joke they all support one of the big 5 yet when Reading start to do well they jump ship.

Least West Ham's fans support only one team.

    Reading.

Well-run, exciting side, good manager - yes their fans are irritating but oh well.

Prefer them to West Ham. I remember Gold on TV pre-season saying "when we go up" etc. and their general arrogance has annoyed me.

I also remember an article saying they were near on £100m in debt and if they didn't go up at the first attempt they would be screwed financially...

I've also seen that. The look on Golds face when West Ham missed that last minute chance last night was a joy to behold.

Would have to choose Reading, simply because there are a lot of characters I don't like at West Ham: Brady, Gold, Sullivan, Nolan etc. And don't get me started on Ian Abrahams goading Sharp on Twitter after Taylor pushed him in the throat and encouraging a witch-hunt. Very responsible behaviour for a journalist

Reading. Boyf's a Reading fan and that would be the closest thing to a local derby if we were to go up.

I really like West Ham fans, they've been put through the mill over the years but I can't stand Big Sam, Gold & Sullivan & Brady! I'd like to see either Blackpool or Hull go up through the play-offs (providing we don't fall into them...!<yikes>).

Think this thread needs to be a poll?

West Ham are one of the best-supported clubs in the country, and are arguably more deserving of top flight football than fans of Bolton, Wigan, Blackburn, Villa etc., but they have a lot of odious characters involved with their club at the moment who don't deserve success

She just annoys me so much, always having a pop at other teams. Like she did about us booing, when we had the blip. She also talks out her arse far to much about West Ham.

Her column in The Sun is the most embarrassing thing you can read and that is saying something.

I like West Ham as a team and their fans, use to go to a few of their games as I have family there. But Brady and Sam have changed my mind on them.

Given that Allardyce is never out the news and it's funny to see 'big' West Ham chasing two 'smaller' clubs I would like to see Reading promoted. Maybe if they stopped being so arrogant I'd like to see the Hammers up, but not right now..Given that next season's Championship looks like a tough one humility may be a valuable lesson...!

The only things I have against West Ham (apart from the miserable face of Fat Sam) are the fact that they have the temerity to try and stop us getting auto and, historically, they were our rivals for relegation from the PL. When it was only a few teams at risk, West Ham always seemed to pull themselves out of it.

Ah the old relegation 'friendships'! I still have a soft spot for Coventry due to those years of struggle, and will always remember Everton as being the jammiest of teams..It's nice to be involved in a different kind of tension these days!

And for a similar reason, I've always had bad relationship with West Brom as they stayed up in 04/05 instead of us.

Theres still a chance of them both going up. I would prefer Reading to come up in autos with us if we make it. And would like to see Brum win playoffs, leaving west ham in championship.
