Whilst watching the celebrations after the West Ham-Blackpool match i couldnt help feel just how far away Leeds United are. Not just on the field when you see players like Noble, Cole and Nolan but off it. After the game Chairman Gold was on the pitch and getting hugs from all his players. The club has been together from the off. The chairman brought a new manager in and backed him with funds. The fans backed the side and as a result the club was together and able to win promotion.

Can anyone here fast-forward 12 months and see Ken Bates down on the Wembley surface with Tom Lees giving him a big kiss whilst Becchio slaps him on the back.

Bad feelings within clubs effect results. Administration does it and to a degree so does animosity between board level and fans. If Leeds dont get off to a flyer its going to get very very angry very very quickly and promotion could be over by November.

Time to clear out or back the manager Bates, because youve missed two opportunities already and this is your last chance.

West Ham were millions of pounds in debt & it was all or nothing for them. They are now promoted but are by no means secure financially.

On a positive note, their promotion will get Leeds and Millwall a share of their Parachute Payment next season (£250k each).

I don't give a **** about any financial benefit the club gets because none of it will ever get anywhere near the player budget.
