    We should sack Wenger now.

We are stuck with these players with or without Wenger, he won't sign three players and if he does they won't be top quality!

Arsene is tactically clueless, we need someone to come in and organise the side between now and January.

That'd give the new manager time to see what we've got, get to know the players and assess what is needed in January.

Dont be silly, he's a great manager but just doesn't spend any money. Anyway if he went who would you get? Hodgson lol or capello (boring). Ur team is the only one run on a sustainable footing. Yesterdays result against the scum was a freak result. You was missing so many players and if RVP penalty went it it would be different. If your a fan get behind your manager

I love that whole "our club is sustainable" mantra.

It is as if there is a 'Balance sheet Trophy' and they are the only ones playing.

Moyes, Martin O'Neil, Rijkaard are the 3 i can think of who would maybe be considered if AW lost his job.

I bet you were one of only a handful of fans that were behind Hodgson when he was at Liverpool then?

I agree about this sustainable nonsense. Wenger doesn't have a mega rich owner behind him but he does have the finances to go out and buy two or three really good players but refuses to. The mess the club is in is all his own doing.

Wenger won't be sacked because if he was sacked, the board would have to pay off his contract. I'm not sure if you're aware, but the reason why we're in this position is because the board have been stingy with money, so I doubt they'd wanna piss a portion of our budget away on sacking a club legend!
But even IF we did sack him or he resigned, we'd have to find a replacement before the transfer deadline day in 3 days time. That is NEVER going to happen. If we can't even sign a player, imagine the negotiations in pinching another teams manager. And then EVEN IF we did get a new manager, he has to somehow gel a whole new team together in the middle of a season. A new manager won't mean new players and new results. Rosicky isn't gonna start scoring 40 yard half volleys and Chamakh isn't gonna start effectively holding the ball up just because there's a new person shouting instructions at him.
So really we have no choice but to see who Wenger brings in (if anyone) and then judge him. He has never had this much money and pressure put upon him. Who knows what he really has up his sleeve?
If we are still languishing in mid table, or worse..., by December/January time, then maybe it's worth having this discussion and re-thinking the future of the club. But the only person that can get this team winning AT THE MOMENT, is Wenger.

Also, I know we lost 8-2 and that is a sickening result but this start to the season has been one of the hardest I can remember. You have to remember that 3 goals came from deadball situations and Rooney's quality and another 2 were unsaveable. Yes, Young should've been closed down but United were on fire finishing-wise. At best, I was hoping for 4 points out of these first 3 games.

Bobby I disagree, Dalglish changed Liverpool around immediately, the likes of Allardyce and Hodgson also change things around. Change of management can have a positive affect.

Change in training, drills, tactics, these are all things we could benefit with, we don't have leadership, discipline or mental strength. We are a poor poor squad, shockingly poor. A new manager would play our players in their correct position. Bendtner wouldn't be a winger and neither would Walcott who clearly is a striker, always has been and always will be. Why are our players always injured too ??

Not really the point i was responding to.

EssexExpress said we don't have Mega Rich owners, i was pointing out that we do. Usamov has offered to clear the stadium debt and invest in the team but was rebuffed by our Board.

we may have mega rich owners but the owners part is the blocking point, everything must go through the board/vote for things to happen

where as chelsea and man city have only ONE owner and can do what they like
