Both teams got through to the playoff final today.

Welling drew 0-0 at home to sutton and Dartford beat Basingstoke 2-1.

Anyone reckon they will go along to the final? I've heard the final will be played at Dartford so home advantage to them, still i used to live in Welling so Up the Wings!!!

    Why is that?

Was it the ground selected before the finalists were known, as in the Champions League where its sometimes happens that one of the teams in the final finds itself playing at home?

Or was it determined by something earlier in the competition such as which placed higher in the final league table? That would be fair.

Any reason why it couldn't be played at the Valley? Give both teams a great day out and should attract a lot of Addicks supporters suffering post-season withdrawal symptoms.

Anyway, well done to both local teams!

I think it was because Dartford finished higher in the league. I always thought the final was at the ground of the champions for that season which would be woking but seeing as the two clubs are local to eachother it wouldn't make any sense having it over there!

Having it at the Valley would be a good idea but i doubt it would happen!

Can't have it at the valley. They might want to do a pitch invasion!:p
