Said it on that thread that without Defoe we'd be sitting hand in hand with Villa already relegated.

So... Without paying that person to do that job, that team would be screwed - what a load of tosh! Where would leicester be without Vardy - well I think they proved exactly thast last weekend! Scored goals without him with no issues.

Do you think Dame N'Doye would have scored 16 goals in 30 games for us this season? Or Danny Graham? Jozy Altidore? I don't, personally.

Not actually sure of the relevance of your first sentence as I have not had a go at you or Defoe - just the article that said it but, for the record, I haven't "bashed" Defoe since early in the season. Even turned around on here a couple of months back and said I was wrong in having a go at him and thinking he was only here for a payday. He's been very good for us this season.

Why wouldn't Leicester win the league without Vardy? They have Mahrez among others. They were actually far better to watch against Swansea than they were against us and probably for their last 4 or 5 games when Vardy has started. And they won and scored well without him so you never know.

Main reason it doesn my head in is that it's pointless to say it as we have him. If you say "without Defoe's goals" that is a completely different statement to "without Defoe" (not you personally BTW but the outlet that wrote it) as without Defoe we may have signed a different striker who may have done just as well - something we'll never know
