Didn't quite turn out as expected from going in at half time 1-0 up but they were guaranteed to put the pressure on in the 2nd half and unfortunately some ****e defending gifted them an equaliser.

Still, (and I may be wrong) a draw away in the C.L still boosts the co-efficient points for Scotland and another 250k in the bank for Rangers.

Not the best result, but far from the worst.

Bring on The Colin Murray Trinket <ok>

Was I right in saying that this draw is still a boost to the co-eff points because it was away from home ?

I'm a bit miffed about last night and how the CL has panned out in general.

First game, Manyoo at OT: Fine, we set out to get a point and done it, how gives a **** how we achieved it, I've seen countles drubbings at OT over the years.

2nd game, Bursa at Ibrox: Good result and performance in general, though in the 2nd half, we stand off them and they have a few chances to score, but we win, brilliant.

3rd game, Valencia: 1-1, should've been 3 or 4 to Rangers, Kenny Miller misses 2 very decent chances, Edu hit the post and scores OG, Foster misses open goal.

4th game, Val in Spain: Naismith hits post in 1st minute, then we gradually get worse as the game goes on, 3-0 reverse about right

5th game, Manyoo: Still pisses me off this one, Man U line up with Smallings and Evans in defence (see West Ham v Man U last week) and we sit off and let them attack us!

6th game: Bursa in Turkey: I reckon we could've won if Miller and Naismith stayed on, especially Naismith whoses showings in the CL have been a welcome addition to the side and proves that Scottish people can play football.

All in all, we should've qualified from this group.

I think this system has potential to wrok very well, we just need the right players to make it work.

See Millers sitters versus Manyoo and Valencia at Ibrox. We got 1 point from these games, when we should've got at lest 4 and possibly 6, as Andy Gray says, goals change games.

Anyway, that's my take on it.

    Onto the ITV4 plate!!

You're the one that's deflecting ya wee fanny. Your lot got ****ed 9 - 0 wae a shower a ****e.

You know absolutely **** all about football.

To those of you that do know something about the game I reckon all things considered we did reasonably well in a difficult group.
Our squad is down to the bare bones and we had to throw in a couple of youngsters last night but finishing third is no disgrace.

Smith's performed miracles since his return and we've regained some pride after last year's results in Europe when we tried to open up and got punished for it.

We don't have the quality of player or sufficient numbers to make an impact in the Champions League but we've shown we can hold our own and certainly weren't disgraced.

Personally, I couldn't really give a **** about Europe other than the money it brings in, just so long as we continue to dominate Celtic and win the league will do for me.
