Lowestoft Town clinched promotion to the Conference North this afternoon! Absolutely brilliant and great news for Suffolk football. Ex Town player Jack Ainsley plays for the Trawler Boys! This has been a great weekend for lower league teams in East Anglia with Cambridge United reaching the Conference Playoff final at Wembley being played on 18th May. I do like to keep on touch with the non league scene and I really hope that Cambridge can make it back to League 2 after a ten year absence! I also hope that Bury and Leiston do well next season!

Lowestoft did well, fair play to them.

Fingers crossed for Cambridge too. One of my daughters lives there. and I have a soft spot for the place. Spend a lot of time around town or on the river. Looking forward to Le Tour too, in a couple of months!

Warky may live there, but despite that, most of the residents seem pretty sound! <laugh><ok>

As you say JWM, a fantastic achievement. I love hearing that our local teams are doing well. I lived in Lowestoft on a couple of occasions. A Suffolk town with a Norfolk post code <confused>
Went to high school in Leiston so I'm really happy that they have had a good couple of seasons recently.
