´Boro´ to draw, Watford to lose City to win on the day, Wishful thinking but not without a chance As we edge ever nearer May That would leave all three on 85 points With City perhaps back on top, And Bournemouth to sweat then on their Monday game Where the title will be theirs to drop Stranger things have happened in this weird game So although the autos right now, Look to have just slipped away from our grasp While there´s hope, you just never know The pressure reverts back to those up above That´s how this games´ mechanics work, Just when you think that the job´s nearly done Is just when a pitfall may lurk We know we´re guaranteed a top six berth Whatever we do from now on, So I can´t see pressure should play any part Just yet, as promotion´s not gone Play-off games, yes, then pressure will return But how many here would have thought, When A. Neil took over, that chance we would have Or that the top two could be caught Brilliant he has been, in every regard And although to prolong the year, With perhaps three more nail-nibbling games Is hard, they´d be three we could bear But we´ll know more after this coming round And should there be wins for all four, As many predict, even then nothing will Be clear, till we open May´s door. I think he might have said it more than once Dave, but I get where you're coming from Nice work as always rbf, perhaps one of your best in fact
I must say, I hope that´s the case, eadie, but we´ll still need quite a bit of help from some friends
I am going to be totally relaxed tomorrow. It's out of our hands as things stand and there's nothing I can do to influence proceedings. So, I'll just get the bottles of Leo chilled in preparation, then sit back sinking them without giving a sh1t about what happens (Unless Watford have already lost by the time we play, in which case I will be screaming and shouting at the monitor)
Like you I will have a few beers before kick-off, which is an hour later for me, at 10pm. I go on the Hash House Harriers run ( walk actually as most of us are well over 60). We have a meal and booze up afterwards. Puts me in a relaxed condition before the match starts. Sometimes have a little rum and coke while following the game on the radio thanks to your good self. Rum is about £1.20 a bottle here.
