That FA Cup call also cost Rodrigo a 20 goal season and when you look at his stats he’s actually only behind Haaland, Kane and Wilson on goals per minute on pitch. Way ahead of Toney Salah et Al, so no wonder he always looks angry
Not that I give a **** but they probably should get Lampard back as a manager and it's achievable given no PL clubs will ever touch him again unless he can redeem himself lower down.
West ham may well be tired after their euro games so i would start him and hope for an early goal so they have to chase the game.
I wouldn’t have brought him on personally, but the foul he got crocked on was his own doing… you can’t wrap the feckers in cotton wool. Gracia chose not to play him for some reason. Rod has been a rare success story this year… and I think the effort is genuine, he gives 100%… sometimes gets too pumped but rather that than the alternative.
Love the way the sports media are making out Big Sam is isnt Pep or Klopp. They don’t see the big picture do they, Sam took all the attention and headlines away from his shell shocked team. That’s where his experience shines through and now they are all talking about a much better defensive performance which must make the players feel better. Rather than the players skulking around hiding from our fans he took them over to our end and the players lobbed the fans shirts. Sam says we need the fans and the fans need us and we do this together. We’re still in the shyt but I feel a bit better and think most of us are feeling a bit better too…… so all in all Big Sam is getting a bounce
Quite a few could finish in their all time positions this season Arsenal scum Spurs?? Wolves?? West Ham?? Leeds
Don't think that Gracia didn't want to pick him but it was more a case of Rodders rushing back from injury to help the team but just wasn't fit enough for anything more than cameos. First game back was Brighton and then he came on against Wolves late on and scored. Bottom line is our first game after the injury was Forest away, followed a couple of games later by Everton and that's when we needed the fit and firing Rodrigo.
Happy to wait and see what happens, Sam seems better than Gracia and Jesse (not hard) with his words and actions but I’m on the fence as to whether he has improved anything on the pitch. Far too early to judge that, I’m certainly not in the camp who feels he has tightened things up at the back, it could easily have been 5 or 6 conceded We showed a bit of fight but let’s be honest, we were poor. A big three games coming up, let’s hope he can turn things around. I’m more hopefully he will than I would have been if Gracia was here
Players are for the most part rubbish. We need to accept that and there’s only so much any coach can get for them. I’m happy he’s the best we could have got to get anything out of this lot. No idea if it’ll work out
The best we can hope for with Allardyce is a delayed new manager bounce for the last three games. Whatever happens, survival or relegation, he should be put out to grass in Jurassic Park.
