We deserve a seperate thread this weekend after last night So we get an upgrade in goal and a keeper with vast experience Also go 5 points clear at the top of the league (For now) We upset the football pundits again but as it turns out we did nothing wrong and actually most managers, especially foreign managers do it. Lampard has benefited from it as Jose' does and did it when it Chelsea as. Dick head pundits gobbing off, it seems they don't know the rules and when they find out they talk about ungentelemenly conduct? The league managers association should tell Bielsa off? Lets wait and see what the FA do as EFL washed their hands of it. Oh but fat cnut Moose was at it again last night and JermainJenas wanting a big points deduction.
That performance last night was superb and not felt like that for years. Worth saying even the most depressing glass half empty fan couldn't find anyone to slag off. Forshaw and Alioski were immense, young Clarke awesome, great to have Cooper back, Pontus inspiring, Harrison....... the team, the fight, the running, the fans
Morning all. Great result to get us all believing again, three back to back defeats would have been hard. I was alarmed at how far BPF game out of his goal for one clearance, hopefully he’ll learn quite a bit from Casilla. Great all round performance from everyone last night, Klich and Forshaw stood out working in tandem, Alioski immense at LB clean sheet, 2-0 and two clear cut penalties denied, one thanks to a wonky eyed linesman.
Morning all. Great performance from all our team particularly as we had so many youngsters in the squad.. After seeing Lampards post match interview I think if things don't go his way he will start to blame his players, and they will struggle to make the top six. Spoilt kids do not make good football coaches.
To be honest, the way we have outplayed them twice, their league position and the talent he has to pick from I’d be very disappointed in Lampard if I were a Derby fan.
What an exciting season! Morning all It was one of those games I already wish I could watch again. Brilliant display all around with very few wobbles. I would be worried about my starting spot if I was Douglas!
It's like we had there tactics figured out or something We are simply a class above them as shown over the two games. No excuses Mr lampard

Immense is the only word for it, especially when you consider our injury list. Spygate made absolutely diddly squat difference
As someone already said Derby have a big high earning squad and should be doing better. Maybe Lampard aint that good? I spoke to a big Derby fan last night and he said it was the worst they had played all season, but that was because Leeds didn't let them play and outskilled them on every front. He also said even if spygate wasn't an issue, Derby were beaten by a much better team. I would say better manager because Derby have some better players (On paper) What are peoples views on our new keeper and wonder if Forza's mate had this player down as the world and European player coming. I say that because Real Madrid have won world club championship as well as CL? If he is I'm pretty happy with that anyway, although I would say he isn't the player in question. Even Phil Hay is now saying there are at least 2 more signings on the cards, a winger and a creative midfielder. The winger I reckon is Forza's guy and if we do pull these deals off you just know they are better than we already have because Bielsa has rules. So will have to be some players to better last nights team
Morning all, Oddly enough, I meant to post about that last night. I've posted my conspiracy theory before about Douglas being the root cause of Alioski's & Harrison's poor displays on the left. I truly believe it, and last night totally confirmed it for me. Both Alioski & Harrison were outstanding & had a marvellous understanding, whether it was attacking or defending. Harrison had his best ever game, and I finally realised why we signed him. Not sure if your comment was tongue in cheek, Bucks, but I think you might be sooo right. I too would be worried if I was Douglas. I believe he shone with Wolves as he was played as a wing back, even though his defensive qualities were apparently questionable at best. He was all attack. But it deffo looks like he doesn't know how to combine naturally with others on the wing. In some respects, he has many of the limitations of LDB, but not quite so glaringly obvious. Other point I meant to make is that I may have been calling out Forshaw incorrectly of late. I am now absolutely convinced that he is instructed to play as a pure DM, and not as a DM/auxiliary CB, like Phillips. I've assumed he'd be instructed to play the Phillips role & I've given him pelters for not getting back when the FBs are attacking. I've now come to the conclusion that he's not supposed to. No experienced player can screw up a role as badly & remain in the team - so it's been me that's been slow in the uptake, as we've obviously got a new game plan. As long as we win ...... Last night was pure joy to watch, and I wish all you guys could have been sitting where I was to enjoy it. Not a criticism of any sort, a genuine wish. It was without doubt the best game we've played since we dropped from the PL. I'd also wish that you could be grounded in the way I'm about to be today. I'm just setting off to see the mighty Partick Thistle humped by the anything-but-mighty Falkirk. Looking like relegation for a second season in a row. I think the only hope is me! I've been there twice this season & witnessed us win 4 points out of 6 - not seen a defeat yet, but I'm sure it won't be long until that happens Only downside last night was that I couldn't share my joy & sarcasm with the Derby NOT606 board. No-one has posted for a couple of months!
Poor poor WJ self inflicted wounds mate, you choose to put yourself through dubious football North of the border. This may cheer you up and it seems Derby have an agent doing what crap agents do:
Oh yes now were talking a choice of goalies will be great. Never seen him play so dont feel able to comment on who should be first choice
Points won - 3 Rules broken - 0 ****s given - 0 Pampered, overpaid, failed ex footballers turned media "experts" outraged - 687 and counting.
I think it’s 13 times we’ve scored first this season and not dropped a point, we’re the only ones. Derby have conceded first and went on to win 5 making them top of the chart for comebacks.
I'm afraid to say Kiko Casilla is the player I was told about. I texted my guy just now: “So is Casilla your man?” “Yes” “Cracking signing but you said he was a world and European champion?” His reply was “Madrid have won everything” And that was it. Anyway not bad imo but not really the ‘wow’ signing he bigged it up to be. To be fair he didn’t really need to tell me about it in the first place!
Great signing and not dissapointed mate, so a good shout by you and your mate, thanks. Wonder which signings we get next. Sod Navas he would struggle at the minute
