Great photo to start the day with. What a fantastic hurdler Honeysuckle was! Wish her a long and happy life in the paddocks. Rachael Blackmore reunites with Honeysuckle and meets the brilliant mare's daughter (msn.com)
Will have to swerve Newton Abbot as I cannot remember the last time I found a winner at "God's Own Racecourse", as some like to describe the track. I must have really upset God, at some time or other, because any selection I make there usually runs like a drain. So, will try the maiden race at the Curragh (19:30) over an extended 6f. on good ground, even though currently there are 20-runners going to post. The Kodiac filly, Ojw Legacy, really does deserve to win this event after finishing 2nd on her last three races, and has been placed in all of her five starts. Andrew Slattery rides for the family stable. 10/3 (Bet365/Wm.Hill) best price at time of writing, on the ATR site.
Won at 2/1 SP. Although very close at the finish, a well-deserved win for the favourite, who has shown remarkable consistency over her previous five races. Well-ridden by Andrew Slattery.
