Yarmouth 15,45 Khuzaam 7/2 And one speculative bet Kelso 17,15 Newstart 10/1 e/w (four places) Back from a break, 2nd wind op, wins 109 mark today 84.
After last night’s disappointing result. I’ve gone for a Madrid double. Real away in Paris and Athletico and home to Juve. Should be a few good games tonight
Palace Pier is very short today and I had expected that he would be tackling Group company after his very impressive debut win. Not sure why he is in this race to be honest because they will learn very little more about his ability at odds of 1/6 Fav today. Just a watching race and it is one where Palace Pier will need to win in stunning fashion in order to enhance his Guineas prospects at all. Mind you, if Pinatubo trains on they are all playing for second place in the Guineas.
afternoon, fellas! kelso,4 15: it may pay to concentrate on the three fancied ones here, and LE MILOS boasts very strong form, having had a tough assignment on his last start, but his win two starts back is way better than what the two others achieved to date.so,decent shout today.
kelso,4 45: quite a few of these need considering here, but one that is well treated is top weight SEBASTIAN BEACH.he might have needed his last runs after a long absence, but especially his comeback run wasnt devoid of promise, and hes now 2 lbr lower than when last succesful.so,i tll be interesting what his new yard can do with him.
kelso,5 15: GRIS DE PRON has refound some form lately, and is very well handicapped on his old form,so definite shout this evening.
Be very careful with these innocent openings, Grendel. I haven't seen Oddy about today, but you need to stand by for a bellow of surely the same length as yesterday, followed by a selection of 1920s Donald McGill pier-end jokes.
Mars Landing got closer to Palace Pier than on their debut but the Gosden horse was giving him 6 lbs this time. Palace Pier did it all from the front and was never in any danger easing home by 4 and a half lengths. Had he not been running Mars Landing would have won the race by five lengths from the horse who was 3rd today. 9 and a half lengths back to the third is a big margin in a 7F race but I would rather have seen him tackling a Group race to give some idea of his ability. Most firms trimmed Palace Pier slightly for the 2000 Guineas but you couldn't be getting excited about him based on the race today. Paddy Power pushed him out to 20/1 for the Guineas which is probably where most of them should be after watching Pinatubo destroy Armory and Arizona last weekend. Gosden explained that today's race was to give the colt some experience on turf and to educate him. Frankie said that the horse was looking all over the place out in front and will be a lot more streetwise after this race. The plan is for one more run and the Horris Hill was mentioned, however the trainer said a trip to France for the Prix Lagardere was a "Strong possibilty"
