Call me crazy, call me mad, call me what you want, but I believe we will stay up this season purely for 3 reasons: There are worse teams than us in the league (just look at Wolves today against Fulham) We are getting slightly better with each match Although we have the run in from hell, if we play like we did yesterday, we will get something from those game
It's definitely a concern Kerry. Next match will provide some answers. Rarely say this but we need to play solid to ensure the draw but always looking for opportunities (especially late on) to sneak the win. Fingers and all else tightly crossed. URRRsss!
Bolton wolves and wigan look ike they believe they are down, and although I am the most pessemistic supporter I do sense that we are looking a little bit better than the teams below us. Not getting my hopes up just yet,but a good result next week will make a big difference.
I'd far rather be a lucky team that's playing badly, than a team that is playing well (and we are) but not getting the results due to bad luck (and we're not). The Championship is full of skillful but unlucky teams. Give me a scrappy and fortunate 1-0 win over an attractive and promising 1-1 draw every time. When I see that happening, I'll believe for next season a hell of a lot more.
Results are the main thing now, wins are precious and next week would be a fantastic time to start picking them up. It also marks the end of the run of 'winnable' games we were looking forward to, so a confidence boost would be welcome...
wigan and wolves look pretty dead and buried now. Looks to be a straight battle between bolton blackburn and QPR. You definitely have the most potential quality, and id say bolton the least. Then again you have the hardest run in, and Bolton have the easiest. Its bloody close in short, and the two games that look pretty vital are the qpr bolton clash, and the bolton blackburn game.
Next week against Bolton will show if we can stay up and looking at yesterday´s performance I am quite positive we will do - BUT I watched a couple of Bolton´s games and even though they lost they showed that they can play football. Anyway, I am going for a massive win next Saturday.... B.
the run in will play its part in deciding this really. ours looks by far the toughest, and that worrys me alot. we have come out of the run of 'easier' games with barely anything to show for it.
Agree with that guys...i think its "head in the sand" time !!!and lets ee what w can get.... If ever i wanted Adel and JB to prove me wrong, its now !
I really did think you boys would escape the drop, but having just looked at your run of games coming up, well all I can say is it's going to be bloody close! Wish you boys all the best in staying up, would love all three clubs that came up to stay, MH has his work cut out, KTF!.............
It's going to be tighter than a nun's fanny Dragon...but my instinct is that we will just survive....just!!
My only hope is that we seem to play better against the bigger teams. We were bloody poor against Liverpool and arsenal, but we simply didn't seem to believe. If we start to believe then we could get at least a point against them at home. Can't see us getting anything at Utd and my worse fear is us needing a win at Citeh on the last day, which happens to be the day after my 40th. Yeah great, don't make me feel any more suicidal than I already will be rangers.
We will survive with 35 points and that is all it needs. 1.181 points per match. Surely we can achieve that now we have all the big guns back ! However next saturdays match against Bolton is maybe the most vital match for us for years. Win from that and we would be flyin.......
I just feel things started to click into place on Saturday. Also this is QPR we're talking about and over the years we've usually performed better against stronger opposition.
and rubbish against teams we should have beaten..as we've just seen from the past 2 months... Thinking we might just squeeze through if we can nick a win on Saturday.... Keep the faith..
