...could it be a blessing in disguise? we got so tight against wigan coz we were expected to win and not lose our impressive run but now that we've lost does it take the pressure off the team and allow them to play freely without the fear of the run ending...more to the point how the **** are we last on the league cup show ****in bias...

I hope so and think so.

    If not, I blame Perch.

Yeah out of sheer bordum watched this documentary on an American football team going on a 13 match unbeaten run, and they were all saying in the 14th game they didnt enjoy it anymore and had been playing awful due to nerves last couple of games but winning..

Lost the 14th game, and they were all totally relieved and never looked back that season and won the league (superbowl).. Lets hope its a good omen :)

We were going to get one of Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool in the next round anyway! I don't think it really matters too much. We've saved ourselves another hard 90+ minute slog that we probably would've lost anyway.

It always helps to look on the brighter side of things.

Still, gutted that we lost considering the fight we put up. I thought our late goals would've knocked the wind out their sails a bit, but it doesn't matter, as we're out the competition now.

Let's take it out on Stoke! <grr>

Yes let's come out fighting at Stoke, plenty of time to recover and let's face it look at Wolves, beaten by City tonight and playing them again Saturday, wouldn't like to be in that situation.

Just got back. Knackered. Got to say some poor performances but after all the grief we've given him, credit to Guthrie. Thought he played well tonight.

Oh and Obertan is complete ****.

It's just a Mickey Mouse Cup anyway, best to save ourselves for the League.
