    More of my travels and ramblings;

    From the previous home game where Sheffield United brought down over 1,800 travelling supporters, we were today faced with Ex-Premiership side Wigan and an away following of a couple of hundred supporters if we are to believe the announced figures.

    As being an advocate of football culture and a bit of a revolutionary against political agendas it was great to see someone like Wigan make the dizzy heights, but also a wry feeling to see them come back down to reality and leave the plastic following behind (1992 Virus). The average Wigan attendances of 18,000 glory hunters now long gone and the reason I love lower league football, with just a mere 5,000+ today with part of the Northern Elite in presence witnessing the best opening to a season they are ever likely to see.

    After a commanding 2-0 victory over the visitors, I’m actually lost for words! Social media is better served breeding on negativity, but anyone that finds anything negative about this start is away with the fairies more than my ramblings!

    Dack’s two goals saw his value just increase once again, but anyone that knows me will also know that he is not for sale!

    Today we sit pretty at the top of the table but in reality we are 10 points and one fifth in to avoiding relegation.

    Maybe Justin Ediburgh is about to become the new almighty, even bigger than MadDog without the self sort publicity. The last time I wrote on these rumblings down in the Medway Towns, we actually won the League for the first time in 50 years. Guess what, that same feeling is there again, it really is!

    This team is organised and playing as a complete outfit throughout, you only need to look at the teams we have beaten so far, Sheffield United, Bradford and Wigan, we are not just playing with style but we are putting out Championship performances, beating bookie favourites.

    It appears that teams just do not know how to deal with the pace of Jackson and Dickenson, while Dack is turning them every which way and loose, better than a Clint Eastwood showdown.

    Yes, we will eventually falter and stall but just look at our bench, Cody, Ehmer, McGlashan - Wigan today would have been happy with any of them as first team players.

    Now the opposition can dispute the second goal, or the given penalty, but in truth they were never at the races with us at one up. It would have made no difference, we were home and dry, dusted and done under the sweltering heat, might as well of got Nelson a deck chair or sun bed as it is these days.

    What of the future I don’t know, I can only write on now, and League One we have arrived. I can remember when in League Two Martin Allen using them fatal words of smashing league one, let’s hope for once fate is on our side, we need no publicity but the media just don't know what they are missing.

    The humour factor is there this season has well, as I gave up my ST, that could turn out to be a bigger disaster than an evening against Hereford, I will leave those that know me to the humour on that matter.

    Peterborough next and I will be there.

    I looked at the time of your thread - and thought you was boasting about your home arrival time ! - thanks to the traffic incidents on the M2, my arrival time was 8.55pm

    Used the A2 mate, which was clear, not the M2. That motorway has been a mare since the Tunnel problems started, but i believe this time there was a serious RTA.
