Is he the fastest man to ever play for QPR? Amazing speed allied to a frustrating lack of ability with the ball.
One of the abiding memories of my younger days at the RRRsssssssss, when I had a season ticket in South Africa Road, was the man in front of me shouting at least ten times every match "Go on Wayne, he's a dinner"
In terms of speed, isn't Onuoha meant to be super quick over 100m? I'm sure I heard sub 11s or something. Never witnessed it in a match though.
Sure I've heard this lad was the quickest ever to play for us, pity he didn't always take the ball with him.
Traore is the quickest player we've ever had, fact. Fereday was the quickest back in the day, but the defenders were slower. So I suppose it's all relevant depending on the time period. My mate down the pub ( who is a physics professor ) said down the pub tonight that Traore and even Fereday would even beat Usain Bolt over 100m if he had to run with a ball at his feet.
Had a dream last night that I could run as fast as my mate Chris (very quick back in the day). There was more to it than that of course, there was athlete playing their song wires live and just for us and some hostage on the train tracks situation, oh and rats that looked like cats, but I'm sure the running part was because of this thread.
I am pleased to inform your dreams woody. What would you like to dream about tonight. About Wayne Fereday me and my mates used to stand him in the lower loft and every time he had the ball would shout 'roast him Wayne'. As he ran up another blind alley often without the ball. King of taches for QPR another favourite of mine the barrel chested midfield maestro robbie James who has sadly passed away.
North of Watford it was but not down here. I remember it well. I think his tache featured in a comic feature in one of the Fanzines. Or did I just imagine that???
