    Morning North Enders

    I do an interview with an ex-Hull City player for each issue of a Hull specific online lads lifestyle mag, this month's is Wayne Brown. Obviously is mainly about Hull, but I thought you might be interested to take a look, I doubt he'll be joining the Phil Brown fan club any time soon.

    Hi! scooter we haven't crossed paths recently, so hope all is well..<ok> and you are ready for the new season.

    Yes it is quite common knowledge that the two Browns dont mix very well..<ok>.. so no surprise to read what WB's thoughts are about PB..<laugh>
    WB makes some very interesting observations and doesn't mince his words does he. What I would like to read is the other Brown's response on what can only be described as an attack on Phil Brown's managerial and man management qualities. It is very obvious that WB and PB have major issues with each other.

    There are some PNE fans who think that not playing WB in the relegation battle was a big mistake on PB's part and several of the loan players did see themselves as big time charlies, and did not wear the shirt with pride nor give 100% to the cause.
    His comment's re DF are also interesting as the majority of PNE fans thought he was tactically inept and his man management qualities extremely poor, most fans wanted DF OUT (including me) and blame him for PNE's relegation. Most fans also believe that had DF gone a couple of games earlier PB could have saved PNE from relegation.

    PB still has everything to prove at Deepdale but he is being seriously hampered by players leaving (not PB's decision) to reduce the wage bill and the Owner/chairman not supporting him in bringing new players in. The club is in a dire situation financialy but even so PB is having the rug pulled from under his feet and with less than a week to go PNE are still short of players. Yesterday we all learned that PNE's Treacy is going to Burnley and this has NOT gone down well with the PNE fans. PB will not be happy with the situation at all and you never know he just might decide that enough is enough.

    Hope you have a good season scooter and the Tigers bag a load of goals in their first game..<ok>

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    As an after thought I wonder if you had considered seeking a response from PHIL BROWN for your Mag. .?????..<laugh><laugh>.
    As a second after thought..........maybe this isn't the right time...<laugh><laugh>

    Hi Plumber,

    I'm very well thanks, looking forward to kicking off the season on Friday night. We're looking good, I've been to all but one of our pre-seasons and we've looked very good, the new additions have settled in well and our performance against Liverpool was one of the best I've ever seen from us(even if it was only a pre-season).

    I don't think PB will be keen to speak to me, particularly if he's spoken to his old mate(and disgraced ex-Chairman) Paul Duffen, who recently banned me from his Twitter account, for posting some uncomfortable questions about Hull City funds that went AWOL. <laugh>

    I do these interviews for the magazine each month, this was my fourth, I'm hoping that the next one will be Dean Windass, so I'm hoping to get his views on Brownie too, though I suspect he'll be rather more diplomatic.

    It must be disappointing to see the likes of St Ledger, Lonergan and Treacy leaving, though probably not a complete surprise. I was rather hoping that Treacy might come to us after we were linked with a move for him earlier in the summer, but we went for Robbie Brady on loan from Man United instead, so far it looks like a good move(he ran Liverpool ragged). I can image how well his move to your neighbours has gone down, though they seem to have problems of their own, with Mears, Iwelumo and Eagles all leaving.

    Despite the issues with outgoing players, I think Brownie is as good a manager as anyone else in League One, though it's not going to be an easy league to get out of, with Sheff United, Wednesday, Charlton and Huddersfield to get past. Good luck, I'll be keeping an eye on your results and I'll pop back during the season to see how things are going. <ok>
