Team News Watford: please log in to view this image The Hornets top scorer limped off in their 2-1 cup win at Arsenal on Sunday. And Flores is unable to confirm whether he will make it as Watford look to seal their Premier League spot for another season. He said: “We have to check on the latest about Odion tomorrow, we have three or four players recovering. “Some of them are OK but maybe not all the players are ready. Some for sure, but the others not.” Team News Stoke: please log in to view this image Mark Hughes has confirmed Ryan Shawcross and Xherdan Shaqiri are out with the latter set to return after the international break. Erik Pieters is also extremely unlikely to feature with the left-back yet to train this week. Charlie Adam is also lacking match fitness. With Glen Johnson and Marc Wilson also out, Hughes has real problems in defence ahead of him. Our Last Meeting: Saturday 24th October 2015 FIRST goals of the season for Troy Deeney and Almen Abdi completed an excellent win away from home for the Hornets against in-form Stoke City. Deeney scored the opener shortly before half-time, a cool finish from the edge of the area handing the Hornets the lead going into the break. Then Abdi fired brilliantly past Jack Butland with little more than 20 minutes to go to, sparking great celebrations from the 2,886 travelling supporters behind the goal. Stoke Team: Butland, Johnson, Cameron (Wilson 9), Wollscheid, Pieters, Adam, Whelan, Shaqiri (Walters 60), Krkic, Arnautovic, Joselu (Crouch 61) Watford Team: Gomes, Nyom, Cathcart, Britos, Ake, Watson, Capoue, Anya (Paredes 66), Deeney, Abdi (Behrami 78), Ighalo (Guedioura 89) Wherever you are in the world, Enjoy the game.
Nice one OFH - I am feeling a little bit confident for this game and will be going for a 2-1 win (leaving MY 3-1 to you this week H)
Couple of key players out for Stoke so hopefully we can take advantage. Be nice to build on the success from last season with a win.
I really would like to get the 3 points and try to build on that. Mark Hughes is talking about trying to win all of their last eight games, but I suspect he doesn't expect to.
What a daft thing for Hughes to say - as if he would say that they're going to try to win 4 and get a couple of draws.
Looking forward to it as always - would be nice to seal it before Easter (survival and not a tomb before any of you smart arises, and very smart to be fair, start )
lovely thread, ta muchly! Looking forward to this too, would be great to do the double, though with Ighalo unlikely to play, scoring may be a problem, but i feel Capoue is going to finally find the net, Deeney will want to show Hodgson what he's missed, and Amrabat is ready to make trouble! So, definitely a 3-1 (that's MY 3-1 w_y ! ). Looks like their team is a little depleted which can only be good news for us, the trouble is we maybe a little too confident after the shock win last weekend (obviously i didn't doubt it for a second though! lol) and that could mean we think we'll win and therefore definitely we won't! But we will. Confused? You will be!
Only thing that really concerns me is that they cannot possibly play as poorly on Saturday as they did against us up at the Britannia earlier this season. It would be useful if they did.
Lawro has predicted a 2-1 win for us.! Merson 2-1 to Stoke. Steve Cram thinks its a good contender for "last game on MOTD" Well guess Sunderland aren't playing till Sunday.
yeah its like chinese whisper on these websites sometimes. Heres to a good game and may the best team win.
Want those three points. Would set up an evening of rugby in Paris nicely, too. Three points for the 'Orns and a Grand Slam would send me to bed a very happy boy!
