Manchester United will not issue an update on the severity of Anthony Martial 's foot injury until Louis van Gaal's pre-match press conference on Friday. On Friday evening, United midfielder Michael Carrick left the Estadio Jose Rico Perez on crutches after damaging his ankle ligaments in England's 2-0 defeat to Spain in Alicante. He is almost certain to miss the Watford game.

This has to be a very hard fixture to predict for us hornets. Logic tells us that we have a poor record against them and they have resources we don't even dream about - but we have a passion and clearly this season our team is streets different to those previously promoted to the Prem. I expect a draw - hopefully not goalless - but something inside me is telling me we will win.
